Yes, haven't you heard? It's going to be a musical. It's a crossover between Die Hard and traditional Japanese dance. He's playing the role of the bad guy: the evil tap-dancing bunny boy (it's also kind of scify). Stay tuned as I make up more infos about this amazing new blockbuster :sarcasm:

I would totally watch that

To the criticism for Hanyus transitions mainly from this russian side posted by Marin: It seems that figure skating instructors mainly influenced by russian school dislike Hanyus style - they admire his jumps but criticising his two foot transitions. To keep posture during 4-rotation jumps perfectly, just keep in mind his spread eagle-4S-spread eagle, and then having to skate on two feet because not having balance enough to skate on one foot ? Quark !! Its only a question of quality: Chan' s got the best elaborated and clear step sequences at the moment. But Hanyu is working hard on that ( I' ve seen in his practise sessions from last years worlds with nice deep edges), lets see if he can get a level 4 at worlds.
Some transitions must be done on 2 foot and as long as they're beautiful I have no issue especially when he has such beautiful spread eagle and Ina Bauer . In my opinion with 1 foot transitions he has enough amount of counter and rocker so there's no issue with 1 foot skating.
Actually at GPF the reason he got level 3 for step sequence was because of an invalid choctaw which is a 2 foot transition. He also did a sloppy loop turn but in my opinion had the choctaw been done well they would have given him level 4.

And yes the amount of turns in his step sequence is getting more and more packed compared to the one he did at Autumn Classic to the one he did at GPF. I don't know should I be excited or worried that he will even upgrade his step sequence to make it harder at Boston. :scratch2:

In my opinion the reason he got level 4 at NHK is because he had just come back from Toronto with his coach watching day by day to correct his step sequence.
After NHK he stayed 2 weeks in Japan and practice alone. And when you practice alone it's really hard to notice the mistake yourself especially in the step sequence if there is no personal coach who wat you day by day. If anything Yuzuru getting level 3 at GPF was a good sign to him, that he still need to upgrade whatever left out. And honestly I am not upset about the messy skates he did at National because it gives him more motivation to do it better at Boston.:luv17:

I was just going down memory lane thinking of the Olympics and all the excitement after. Does anyone have a link of Together on Ice, Yuzu's show? That was so much fun and had the best all-male cast. Plushenko, Verner, Johnny, Javi, and Honda

A playlist of TOI but not complete show.

Translation of Yuzu's interview at New Year on Ice Osaka in January. I just managed to watch it, the FTT on 17Jan was beautiful , but I' m so mad at the camera man . Do we have another camera angle video for the 17Jan skate :sad21:?

:rofl2: Fans would definitely enjoy it.

When I read the article, I was remembering a scene of the movie Onmyoji, where five Abe no Seimei's are writing a star on the ground with a spell

Honestly, I wish he had at least one Kagemusha (double/dummy), who can do other things than skating for him :p

this was in January. He said that adding it or not depends on how consistent it's in practice, but we don't know how much he might've improved.
Do you have the interview that later he said he's considering it? I'm so messed up with all the timeline. And some translations are done late so I don't know which one is new interview anymore.

There are 3 bloggers on Sports.ru who dislike Yuzuru from his debut, 95 % likes him there. One is El grand capitan-the one Fayruza was talking about, he is die hard Chan fan and still can't overcome Sochi gold medal, second is DaryaYonoor aka let's talk on twitter, blocked on GS-Daisuke fan who blames Yuzuru for stealing Dai's fame, the most insane: Velikii Mag Zaiganov-that one is totally senile, Boyang fan who claims Yuzuru has no transitions and his skating is mostly two footed,:handw: she writes even more crazy things that doesn't worth to be remembered, she is "well known " there for not being normal  in whole Yuzuru is still very much loved on sports.ru :)

Most of the anti-Yuzuru trolls I've run across are "fans" of other skaters he has surpassed, particularly Patrick. I'd like to think most Patrick fans are not that way, and it is just a vocal few who apparently love to stew in their own negativity. If they're angry about the Olympics, then perhaps they need to be angry at Patrick, who made several mistakes that cost him the gold medal. As for the Dai fans who hate Yuzuru, I don't understand that at all. Their careers were going in opposite directons by the time they were competing head-to-head. I would have loved for Dai to have medaled at Sochi, but his injuries and age made that pretty much impossible. Also, it's kinda hard to steal the fame of someone who is retired from competition.

The more I learn about Yuzuru, the more I'm taken over by awe and admiration. IS THIS BOY REAL or is he just fantasy?
Sorry, maybe a bit off the topic, but... can I be excused for that?

I'm sorry meoima, I tried to find it but no luck. I just remember this came into topic a couple (¿?) of weeks ago.

I love this time. That was when I first saw him and adopted him as his son, to pray and support you always, even though he let me sleepless, sometimes.

Thanks for the words of support. This space is really comforting. I found this GPS summary: Skate Canada and Barcelona. You can see how Yuzu matured and evolved in their programs. Ganbatte Yuzu! His best is yet to come.

Guys, I guess this Javier request is not a huge off-top in Yuzuru's thread? Brian Orser is looking for a fan footage from Javier's competitions: https://twitter.com/Peak_Skate/status/700412300973502464 As long as Javi and Yuzu have lots of common fans- could anyone help?

The YouTube uploader Enrique CoMa would have plenty of those I think. Here is one of them:

Btw Enrique is also a Yuzuru fan. I love his commentary, all Spanish commentary actually including that of the wonderful Paloma and Susanna of TDP.

That is the first programme for me too. It was my favourite for a long time. Now is "Seimei":luv17:
