I think Chinese fans feel the same. We know the possibility is not high considering some situation, but this is Chinese TV interview. They will have their first time winter Olympic in their own country and the expectation must be getting higher. Then yuzu says he may skate there. If I were a Chinese fan, such statements would make me delighted even if I knew it wont happen. I’ve heard that the last year Pooh rain in Shanghai was from their thought, “we may never see him in this country again…”. Yuzu really knows such dedicated fans and shows the gratitude for their supports on TV. Such interactions between him and Chinese fans feels heartwarming.

Yuzuru never uses injuries as an excuse for poor performances, he is a bit too hard on himself sometimes but it's a basic part of who he is. If he didn't strive so much for perfection we wouldn't have had NHK and the GPF. Even though it can be a double-edged sword.
I'm glad he is not thinking that far ahead into the future atm, he needs to take one season at a time and pace himself for 2018. However, if he keeps skating until 2022 it will be a delight to still see him in competitions and I will cheer for him like crazy while setting an appointment with my cardiologist

Yes. I hope him speedy recovery and staying healthy. By the way I am not trying to make light of him off course but isn’t it common for top athletes to not use an injury as an excuse for their lost/results? Since as far as I know all of my favorites usually don’t make an excuse for that at all (e.g. Mao has never. etc..)..or I have missed something? (sorry I may be just curious.)
Though I agree with that he usually seems to be very hard on himself and training hard like a unstoppable bean so that leads him easy to get an injury that is worrisome to me. :con3:

This book is not distributed in Sendai, since it is for tourists outside Sendai, so they introduce the book.
The city officer in charge of the book and went together for shooting appears (the left man)
He says about the first photo with flowers, at that time yuzu was 20 yo, and he was embarrassed that “the flowers for the 20 yo man?” but they asked and he did nicely. He doesn’t seem to have any hesitation to be with flowers on ice like hana-ha-saku and hana-ni-nare. But off ice, he has any. It's interesting.
About zunda-mochi, they prepared it since they wanted to get a photo where he ate something, and they relieved to know actually it was his favorite food.

Local news at Sendai is always warm to yuzu.

What if he does the 4Lo+3A like how he does the 4T+3T in competition? Is it worth more? Do you guys think he can do this?

.....actually I don't know how a jump take-off and landing must be done like the edge/toe etc etc and I've read due to this only two/three certain jumps can go together in a combination...but I cannot remember them

It will still be a sequence because he would switch his skate and the direction in which he is going. He would land on his right outside edge, then turn around and change to his left outside edge for the 3A.
Usually it's the toe loop, and the loop which can be done straight from another jump. And skaters also add the salchow and flip with the half loop combinations. Idk if the Lutz could be done that, if you could set the left outside edge straight from a half loop.
The 3A's worth 8.5 and the 4Lo's 12.0. So it's 20.5 points, but as its a sequence, he would only get 80% which is 16.4. The 4T+3T is worth 14.6, it's a lot of trouble for less than two points, even less if he does the 4T in the second half (16.06 points). And if you count the fact that his 3As could be of better use in two ther combos in the second half, I think it would end up being counterproductive points-wise.
That being said, it would be so cool to watch it in competition, though I still enjoy seeing him show off in the galas and ice shows with those jumps

3A will never be counted as the second jump in combo. And the sequence doesn't worth it because he will only get 80% points. It's kind of wasted if Yuzuru did 4lo3A in competition because it's like throwing points away and Yuzuru is never the kind to do that.
The only jumps that can be counted as the second jump in combination are toe loop and loop. However the loop combo are much harder to do and more dangerous to do than toe loop combo. Usually loop combo in which loop is the second jump are usually done by juniors because their bodies are still small enough to get the rotation done. Senior skaters are usually taller and bigger it's hard to get the loop combo ratified.
Unless some skater can do something like this: counter clockwise jump + clockwise jump, then we can see other kinds of jump in combination other than just toe loop and loop. But this sounds sureal.

This reminds me of something I meant to ask a while ago. I wasn't keeping up with the forum as mush as I normally do while I was in Boston, but did anyone find clips of the end of Yuzu's practice on 3/29? This was the day he did his SP runthrough but he wound down his practice a bit early and was just practicing edges/stroking toward the end. I'm kicking myself because I didn't record it at the time and I'm really sad because it was amazing to watch! He was so fast. If I remember correctly he was practicing in a circle around half the rink

I already moved my Boston videos from my phone to my computer & I won't be able to check my computer until later tonight or Tuesday (a busy schedule of work, going out & sleep!).
