Thank you Hamaguri, I hope one day I can see the movie on the big screen too.

I looked up the lyrics of the song :sad21:

“Look At The Sky”
Look at the sky as you walk through life
So the tears won't overflow your heart
As you remember the spring day so bright
On this lonely lonely night

Look at the sky when you walk through life
See how the stars flow away your tears flown
As you remember the summer day so bright
On this lonely lonely night

Happiness may seem just out of sight
Beyond on the clouds try as we might
Look at the sky when you walk through life
So the tears won't overflow your heart
As we cry our way down the street
On this lonely lonely night

As you remember autumn day so bright
On this lonely lonely night

Sadness is something we find out too soon
There in the stars and the shadow of the moon
Look at the sky when you walk through life
So the tears won't overflow your heart
As we cry in our winter day
On this lonely lonely night
...
On this lonely lonely night
...
Look at the sky when you
...
Walk through life
...
On this lonely night

I begin with the audience. The theater I went to was in Yurakucho near the office town, and it was evening time. Further, yesterday was the day of the discount price for women. Thus most of the audience was the women after their work or young women like students.

The movie was, in one word, a fine movie. Story is simple, but the scenario is well written with some educational words (No wonder his father read it and decided.) and the camera works of the scenery and lighting are stunning (Of course, all the castings had the perfect match including yuzu!). You can see how the movie was made in detail. While watching, I felt several times how good it was that yuzu could have worked in such a movie.

And finally, yuzu scene came. Small chuckle happened and I thought some audience came here to see yuzu. I don’t know why but I became a bit shy to see yuzu on screen (lol).
He was firmly a part of the movie and played the important role. I could see the reason the actors realized that he was the same performer trying to express something even though figure skating lacks speaking. He felt the person in the class. As daisy said, his movement was elegant. Further, one of the reasons some actors said he could be an actor, and the director had decided the casting is his voice, I think. His voice is so comfortable to hear and has a nice quality and volume. He must have troubled with the lines but they were saisfactory. I tried not to miss the last lines as daisy advised!

BTW, what impressed me was his eyes and especially, his hands. https://twitter.com/harurize/status/725644677995589632?lang=ja
The white and plump hands had some impact in that scene.

Finally, the song at endroll was a kind of highlight as well as the line "羽生結弦 友情出演”. It was arranged version of 上を向いて歩こう(sukiyaki song)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbH754gScuk(”sukiyaki-song””ue-wo-muite-arukou.)It’s sad but bright.I don’t know explain well, but I really thought if he could see the movie somewhere, the song would left something in himself.:).
(BTW, I find the English lyrics translated by Yoko Ono. It’s closer to the original lyrics than the previous one which hit in the 1960’s.). It was sung by Olly Murs as “Look At The Sky” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyhQcyiNShM )

Thanks for your story. Akita has only one theater and it is very far from where I live.

“Look at the sky as you walk through life So the tears won't overflow your heart” (“Walk looking up the sky so that the tears won’t drop down.” ) I never know such sad and true words about life. I just thought of tons of tears he had. But still this song has the strong power of igniting the flame in the heart.

You mentioned to the attractiveness of the actors of the movie? Yes! It was much more splendid than I expected! Not just the main Abe, Tsuambuki(I’ve almost fallen in love with him.:o:), eita, teramoto, etc. but the others like Nishimura, takeuchi…Every character is well described and the expressions they show have many to watch. Further, the old actors like yamazaki or kusabue living in the goldedn era of Japanese movies had the good job! Especially, yamazaki was perfect. The presence he had was just magnificent. Yuzu had only one day for filming and must not have seen all the actors, but he must get precious experiences to work in that place with the stuffs (he was funny looking around the studio with full of curiosity in news clip!).
You can wait for DVD with much expectation!:agree:.

Thank you for sharing your Hamaguri emotion. Yuzu is a beautiful person and your light will always shine wherever he is.
Alia Thanks for posting the lyrics of the song.

Thanks! I’ll repeat them since the scene of him passed in no instant.:dbana: No wonder daisy will be going to see 3 times in total!

Thanks for sharing Alia!

This reminds me of something I meant to ask a while ago. I wasn't keeping up with the forum as mush as I normally do while I was in Boston, but did anyone find clips of the end of Yuzu's practice on 3/29? This was the day he did his SP runthrough but he wound down his practice a bit early and was just practicing edges/stroking toward the end. I'm kicking myself because I didn't record it at the time and I'm really sad because it was amazing to watch! He was so fast. If I remember correctly he was practicing in a circle around half the rink

I've found bits and pieces like this:

And this is a short clip I was able to capture:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x44j833_2016-03-29-yuzuru-hanyu-practice-clip-a_sport

But I haven't been able to find a full clip, only recordings of his SP runthrough. Anyone able to find more video?

I made 2 videos, which include some of this. These are raw iPhone videos with some bad camerawork, taken to cull 15-second square Instagram clips. I uploaded them to my new Flickr site. I'll be looking for additional videos to upload later.

^^ Thank you for the videos Upnights :yay:

Phiten Hanyu's Project...Aqua Titan socks with Yuzu’s PW silhouette. Scroll down the page for photos of Yuzu in discussion with Phiten CEO (last year's photos I think)

Phiten's CEO fb post today: "Yuzuru Hanyu support message project, 2014 Dec to 2015 Jan. The Phiten shops in Japan received 6794 messages of support for Yuzu during that period. They will be put up in the main office/headquarters."

OT trivia time: I just heard that song a couple of days ago when I played some music for my grandpa  my grandparents used to record music from the radio. Old school, on cassettes, of course. I converted the whole bunch to CDs a couple of years ago (after the evil player had eaten some of their favorite recordings). I still remember how irritated I was when I got to a cassette saying "pop songs 60s" and suddenly I heard a song in Japanese. But according to Wikipedia the song was apparently quite popular in several countries.
Bonus trivia: later I found out that my mother was actually very familiar with a cover version of The Blue Diamonds – two Indonesian-born brothers from the Netherlands who sang a German version of this Japanese song (with made-up lyrics that had nothing to do with the original). I couldn't have made this up if I had tried

Why they use that song for Yuzu, its not suit him at all:noshake:
Its soo sad, like the singer life

yes the song is very famous in 1960s, they played it in every radio, station, public place. And if you search, the song is in top 5 most sold album in history

Ps: I like the song, was crying while hearing that song

The song is not for Yuzu, it is for the movie "Tono, Risoku de Gozaru".

I bursted out laughing to see the video though I cannot understand even single word!.
Actually, when I went to Europe last summer, at the bar in Praha, an old musician played this song to see us. Further, in Paris, a street musician at Pares Garnier played it and I sung it before the tourists there. I thought this song may be famous as a song in Japan in a part of people (the musician at Praha was old and the one at Paris said he'd had once a Japanese girlfriend though).:drama:

The survey was carried out by the cosmetic surgery clinic for men. They searched towards young women to collect men patients to want to attract girls! They must be delighted that yuzu won the first, since his skin is perfectly beautiful and his hairs are not noticeable though he is not concerned to Summer Olympics.

“The competition you want to climax in the (raw spectator sports bar) .”

This means the live spector at such as sports bars. https://www.google.co.jp/search?q=ラ...45C4QQ_AUIBigB&dpr=0.95#imgrc=Y2bNBLe0Q_NbJM:

I found the name of Kohei and Yuzuru can be translated in google translation from Japanese to English correctly and surprised to see that they are exception. :roll9: The 2nd swimmer’s name isn’t translated correctly at all by google(google translates the meaning of the characters of name itself.).

I put my post about it to team japan thread here. this is the episode at nhk by mura. they talked friendly about earphones! they must be in good terms.:)
I like this kind of interaction among skaters.

Talk of Mura and the earphone shop stuff (Mr.Okada)
http://recopal.jp/headphone/earphones/1318/

WHY DO SO MANY SKATERS LIKE EARPHONES?

(Okada) Many skaters love earphones. Is there any reason?
(Mura) It becomes a kind of custom to use earphones before our performances. We get concentration imaging the real performances with music or heighten our mood listening to the music which lifts our spirits. Venues have music on full volume and applause in the venues naturally comes to our ears. Earphones with high sealing degree function can prevent unnecessary sound and give us suitable concentration. Figure skating is not the kind of sport where athletes compete by time or distance. What’s important is how much we can do our best although sometimes we are in bad shape or we can’t get into it. Controlling our minds by ourselves is crucial. In that sense, I think that earphones are an essential tool.

(Mura) In this sport, many athlete use earphones. In the practice on the other day, yuzu approached me and said, “It feels like Boyang uses UE?” I was surprised, “Is it true?”. We asked Boyang and found he used “UE18PRO”. Then, our three talk about “Ear-moni” * began!
(*“Ear-moni (formally "Custom In Ear Monitor")” is the service of customer-made earphones)

(Mura) Sometimes, earphones become some kind of charm. For example, about the earphones used in a good-result competition, we get to use them often after that, like “I can get myself in gear using them!”

(Okada) as if you are ambassadors of “Ear-moni”!
(Mura) The other day, Honda Takeshi-san seems to have made his customized earphones. Now I continue steady activity with yuzu to spread “Ear-moni”.
