from my gut feelings, he may come to nagano and kobe...
(no reason)
but according to shirota's comments in the article of SPUR i read recently, his condition was terribly bad before world (in January, they didnt see if he could go to Boston and he kept his practice taking a day off after 3 days of practice under the treatment. ) she says if he would have took a rest then, the result have been different, but he didnt. his desire to get the title was so strong...

What does she mean? Resting like not going to worlds??

After watching Requiem at Worlds God knows how many times, I started wondering what Yuzu might come up with for this year for his EX. Do you think he'll go along the lines of FTT and Requiem or will he try something completely different?
I hope he tries something different, he's had lovely EX these past years but the style really doesn't vary too much.

Beautiful new video by Sugar Autumn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BybC1sAcdY

Rabbit rabbit (white) rabbit is a superstition that you can read about here.

And I looked this up before too, and found an answer that Jeremy Abbott used to tweet "Rabbit rabbit white rabbit" at the beginning of the month so Japanese figure skating fans picked up on it. I don't know if it's the correct answer though.

Thanks Mikaboo

In January it was really bad? Before or after NYOI? Because i saw clips of him practicing quad lutzes by that time. Weir also mentioned in an interview that he practiced 4lz 4lo 4s and 4t during NYOI. This kid, really...

While we are waiting for the new Yuzuru's programmes ....I don't know if you have already done this, but I would really like to know for you which are the two best (and/or your favourite) competitive routines and performances of Yuzuru in his senior career? (I mean the two best SP and two best FP)
I will start with mines:

SP 1) PW / ex aequo for different reasons GPF 2013 and OG 2014 (men)
2) Ballade n.1 Chopin / GPF 2015

FP 1) Seimei / NHK 2015
2) R&J 1 / WC 2012
* honorable mention POTO / GPF 2014

Let me know your opinions about, if you want: thanks in advance :)

SP : 1. Chopin Ballade No.1 hands down
2. White legend
P.s : I am probably the rare few who dislike PW

FP : 1. Seimei ( this is my personal GOAT program so no question here)
2. Between POTO and RJ1. I can't really enjoy RJ1 honestly due to how unpolished yuzuru still was when he did it. But it still was a program that suited him really well.

I love dramatic/lyrical yuzuru the most.

SP: PW (sassy Yuzu!) and Chopin
LP: R&J (the reason why I started following him...) and Seimei (but I also love POTO a lot)

The thing is, he most likely still can jump like a jumping machine and do visibly well even if his health condition is not so good. The only part which suffered was his ligament so I don't think it was so difficult to jump for him (adding the painkillers) and since he was confident in lucky outcome for his foot after executing multiple jumps, he may have believed it was nothing serious and he could jump in any condition; that was true to HIM. Shirota yet again may not know all the nuances of Yuzu's performing pattern nuances. She may also defend him and release some pressure from him too which is perfectly right, whatever the situation was.
I remember reading Yuzu's words after WTT or WC last year, stating he can perform well and jump successfully even when in pain so he was surprised at his "failures" with jumps. I was sure he's been honest back then.
Either way, I pray for Yuzu to always stay healthy and perform healthy even though he's all-mighty genious boy in any condition.

During New Year shows he was on painkillers. And he LOVES to practice quads. No pain- let's start the game. No wonder his foot demands so much attention right now.

You are right, since even with the pain he can still perform a clean SP and FP runthrough during worlds (and a clean SP). His 4T and 3Lz during those period was indeed sub-par to his usual though, so it did affect him nonetheless (the injury is on his toepick foot right?). I wonder if due to this he will change his layout and do less toepick-jump next season
Regardless as a fan and supporter I wish for him to fully recover.

Oh dear, Yuzuru... :hslap: Given how he still insist to skate after that crash at CoC I would not say I am surprised but this is still... something. Well the bright side is now he seems to be taking his recovery seriously and not forcing himself to practice. I wonder, due to his delayed schedule because of his recovery period (and in the scenario where he really healed completely *fingers crossed*), could this also work out for a delayed peaking? He used to peak around December so if he could stretch it to February-April, this will be advantageous for oly(or 4cc this year) and world.

You know what... I've been thinking about his constant desire to get to GPF as a present for his birthday. And, well, what's the best present one gets if he goes to GPF? Gold medal of course. So that peaking just meant to be there. Now that he learned some lessons that his body is not made of liquid metal like that of Terminator 2, he might come with a totally different season plan and strategy. May it work out the best for him. But first is to heal that poor foot. He really needs it to serve as a strong tool to get his main season's golds. And I meant in in plural, really. It's not like he is going to be satisfied with one gold per season, you know.

My favourites:

Short:
PW at every competition...(liked it best as wtt exhibition)... it is my overall top program for him.
then Chopin at world's

Long:
Seimei, at gpf
RJ 1, at world's, even though he skated it well at gpf that season

I also think he will try for faoi at the end of June because he seems to love it and he has been away a long time... but it would not surprise me if he did not, either. He seems to be really serious about the resting. With all the time he has taken off, it would be a shame if he did a show and felt the pain again and had to rest even more.... so I kind of hope he does not go... although I want to know about the new programs, lol. Only he and his team know.

Dear Yuzuru am praying and visualizing that you are already healed and working hard in the construction of its new programs. I see you in your AU sliding on the ice rink with movements and technically perfect jumps. His whole body and mind are in harmony. Her hair in the wind ... Her delicate hands ... his arms and legs ... You're flying ...Your feet are firm . Your smile ... You are happy. You are healed. Are you alright.

Like many of you, my fav for short are chopin n pw
My fav chopin is at boston and nhk 2015. Idk, my idea of chopin is like controlled madness or slowly/uncosciously turning to mad (I'm music illiterate, it just what always thought whenever i heard the music, idk why..) and the nhk/boston he show me that impression strongly.
Pw..what else? Sexy flirty sassy yuzu at his best!😁

Long
1. Seimei!!! The foxy magician!!
2. Rj 1. The beloved starting point for me

Honorable mention: notre dame de paris at TEB2013 gala- when he finally, finally grasp the core of the program, even it's a year too late.

I am wondering if , due to his injury and the lack of time to prepare for next year competitions, if Yuzuru will start preparing for new programs a little late, maybe in August or September 2016 ? So maybe he will skip early competitions or GP, so he will be only at NHK Trophy in Japan, and he will not be qualified for GPF?
If that is the case, do you think that he will keep Seimei as Long Program, and will have only one new Short Program?
My hope is that he takes time to heal his injury and return in good health. I don't like the idea of him taking painkillers in order to skate at competitions. I don't want to see Javier win a third world title again in 2017. I have nothing against Javier, but I think Yuzuru deserves to win another gold medal at world.
I want to say that Yuzuru is the only skater male or female that I am interested to watch. I don't pay much attention to others skaters, male or female, even if they are very beautiful too, like the French couple in ice dance, the Canadian , German, Russian pairs are very good too. I also like many single skaters like the Russian, American girls, Patrick Chan and others...But I have less interest, no passion.

Yes! Rocksta, please! I truly adore this performance. No wonder the musicians (Monky magic) said at the backstage that they couldn’t help but get mesmerized to see him while playing.

Yes! The lighting of the venue was also effective… (For those fine arrangement of TEB, i would love him to go there again!)

What a beautiful video of SEIMEI in practice… He was determined like a fire.

In January it was really bad? Before or after NYOI? Because i saw clips of him practicing quad lutzes by that time. Weir also mentioned in an interview that he practiced 4lz 4lo 4s and 4t during NYOI. This kid, really...
What does she mean? Resting like not going to worlds??

SPUR Article
(it’s by a columnist with Noto-san’s photo, not tabloid magazine)
cited Shirota’s statement, “if he had took a rest” doesn’t seem to mean his absence in Worlds (I read it several times but the context isn’t a bit easy to understand.). Anyway, he kept overloaded his legs and it lead to make the injury more serious. (Then, the slippy ice at Worlds also was cruel to his legs..)
January was long. No wonder after he papered at NYOI (it’s his strong desire for the victims), as time passed, his injury got worse. Shirota would not lie in such a small column which most people don’t pay any attention to. Just my impression was, her watching over him close to him, his condition was terribly bad at that time.
(Still i feel badly sad Brian says he left yuzu in such a condition at Worlds...)

Noooo painkillers!:hopelessness: I don’t mind if he will keep SEIMEI! Yes, I think he deserved another Gold at Worlds and (next Olympics). And i know why he fasignates you to such a extent as one of a kind...
