is yuzuru's injury a lisfranc injury where his midfoot bone/joint (?) is dislocated/fractured or a lisfranc ligament damage where his lisfranc ligament tore? Or are these two interconnected and principally the same? If not, is the treatment similar? Thanks![]()
This was never specified in the reports we had. But since they did not went for surgery, I'm pretty sure there was no broken bone, in this case, it's surgery with plates, screws and a huge recovery time. In his case, the ligament must be torn, for what I understood. What we don't know it's if the lesion is partial or total. If the ligament was fully torn, it could have caused a dislocation (which could have need surgery). This remains only speculation since we had very few infos about the nature of the wound.
