Lol, I don't even count AC

True, his skates there were pretty disastrous, but I just kinda feel like by now, people should know that that is how he starts the season. And Javi didn't get a hit in PCS or anything after his GPF LP (which was also a disaster, but at an important competition). The buttom line is, I don't think adding a 4lz next season and having consistency trouble due to that would be a bad strategy because of potential PCS loss. He can't control the PCS he gets anyway unless he'd be really consistent - and I don't expect several nearly clean competitions in one season from him, not with 'only' his current layout either. That's just not really how he seems to function... some people have a relatively good form throughout the whole season, but maybe don't peak as high. Yuzu peaks very, very high if eh does (and pretty fast), but he can't maintain it for as long. So IMO, upping the difficulty is actually the better fit for him than trying the "I'll stick to my guns and deliver all the time" route. (At least in the LP. I'm sure he doesn't need to be in peak form to get out clean SPs, so maybe that would be a different story).
I think Javi means that rather in general, and not necessarily because he didn't win. And yes, it's a bit weird since his PCS aren't exactly the most approved between a lot of fans either, but IMO, he still kind of has a point. The fact that he messed up his LP as nothing to do with what he says here (and the fact f he won or not doesn't either). Anyway, I really just wonder if there's talking about it between Javi and Yuzu. They are very different, and right now, one could say Yuzu's 'upping the tech' approach won over Javis 'plaing it safe'.
