Wow I'm from OH as well :drama:

Initially it was actually a friend who introduced me to Yuzuru because she was raving about YOI and told me to check him out. I was also bored since OH was down and so I ended up in this fandom instead.

I still check Onehallyu regularly (but tbh it's the same drama and threads over and over again) but let's just say that...well my post count is over double here what it is there and I've been on there since 2015 and here since 2017

OMG you are OH'er too ??
well, right now I prefer GS over OH tho, maybe coz I'm getting old, I was there since 2013 and I'm not so into the new gen, the old user are gone, maybe it's my time to leave OH completely

Yes, Simon and Chris seemed a bit less enthusiastic this season than previously. :frown: I also mean their FS commentary even when they praised Yuzu and said that it was possibly the greatest skate ever. Maybe they are getting old or something, idk:confused2:

I got the feeling they thought the program was cold and didn't understand it. I think this is the main problem imo not consistency.

Lol, steal Evgenias arm variations of course

Before someone has a heart attack, it's a joke. If he does it with both arms over the head it could be really  though...
I think Brian already had a stroke getting the tano disease out of little Elizabet. He'd chase Yuzu through the entire club if he started doing that.

Hmm you could do what I do and just lurk and never post lol

Yes I prefer GS because the users are a lot nicer and more friendly. I'm not really part of my fandom's OH circle so it's more lonely on there than here. On the other hand I love the emojis on OH because they're super cute and the whole badge idea, signatures and gifs as avatars is something that I'd LOVE GS to have (like seriously imagine having a YuzuxPooh badge it'd be so adorable) I also prefer he formatting on there pls don't kill me :slink:

But if you want to quit go ahead. The people on there definitely troll more and the place is a bit of a mess

ETA: Sorry for being so :otopic: guys

Correct me if I am wrong, but this season we have seen only 2 jumps with arms over head from Yuzu, both at Worlds? I mean 2T.

I think he if he able to do 3A/2T anytime, he does the 2T as a rippon. He did it in Seimei as well.

He's been doing his 2T with both arms over his head for a long time. He used to do it with the 3Lz, back when he still had a solo 3A (RJ1 for example).

:otopic:

I think that is more like adding a flair to his starting stance or something. Or it is just me.

Indeed. He deserve more credits than we give to him. I believe he will do something about it. He had already shown us what he is capable of. Seriously i'm still in awe with the feat he had pulled off at Helsinki. Though seeing him rushed to the center on the rink before his fs make me feels bad for him. Like he had done something really bad and he trying hard to fix it. Well, it does cost him 1 point deduction though.

Confession time! I do watch YOI, but it not the anime that leads me to him. I think i found him on tumblr and i remember the first video of him that i had seen was his autumn classic 2016 fs. I get interested and then i watched his PW at Sochi. Yeah, you all can guess what that video had done to me with him being all flirty and cute. I fell in love and there no turning back. No regrets really, more like i felt blessed with his existence.
Pardon my english...
Your English is wonderful! :) It's great to hear how other people came to like his skating.

I'm not particularly happy with how the ISU keeps wanting to shorten competitions, first the warmups, now the men's long program is going to be ~30 seconds shorter after Pyeongchang... I don't want to imagine what's next. :(

Any idea why they're looking to do that? I thought the contrast between short program and long program right now is pretty great :s

also what are your thoughts on LGC?? :D or would you hold on it until after wtt :D :D

No idea, I haven't counted. The suggestion to add Evgenia's arm variations just brought me back to poor Elizabeth and Brian's "you don't always have to throw your arms in the air!!!" (if it causes you to fall on your butt a gazillion times). It gave me this wonderful image of Yuzu coming around with this grand tano idea and Brian just going :dbana: :dbana: :dbana: *I give up, wake me when my kids are 40 and can't tano anything anymore* :bed:

I think Orser clearly doesn't want Yuzuru to upgrade more quad. But the way it is now, he is the frontrunner he has to add at least the 4lz and see how next season goes. 5 quads LP is possible for him if others are doing 5 or 6.
Frankly I think Orser and Javi are a bit naive to think next season they don't need to upgrade anything. If Javi doesn't upgrade, the chance for him on the podium at Olympic will be much lower.

Lol I can imagine.

In Brian's defense, judges really do not care that much about tano; they love them some huge jumps though. Osmond and Daleman has the same if not higher GOEs than medvedeva despite all the tanoing, so in a sense Brian is right.

Well, I did count because I like this arm variation (rippon, no tano) and I kind of missed it. I still think that 2T in the SP at Worlds was the most beautiful invalid element [emoji12]

He did it in POTO also. But still he didn't do it much this season. At 4CC I guess it was because of yolo 4T2T.

He didn't do it much this season because he effed up his 4S combo so much he had to replace 3A2T with 3A3T often. :drama:

Awkward question and it might have been answered already but...
Anyone knows why we haven't seen the 4Lz? We know he has been training it for a while, right? I know nothing about the physics and necessary skills for jumping so, is it harder than the 4Lo? I'm sorry this might seem like a very newbish question but i admit i'm not the smartest person when it comes to the technical side of FS... (I try to learn and understand, though!)

If you meant if why we haven't seen the 4Lz from him in gala/open practice session, I think it is a matter of pride thing :p So many are able to land 4Lz now, frankly, it is not really anything special to land anymore. But if he failed it when many others are consistently landing it, even though it is just in practice, he probably would not like that  While 4Lo is different, he is among the first who lands it regularly and even now not many are doing it in a program.

Lz in general is a counter-rotated jump, supposedly making it harder than any other jumps. Beside Yuzuru is more of an edge-jumper than a toe-jumper, so Lo should have been easier than Lz and F for him. Maybe for someone who is more of a toe-jumper like Nathan, Patrick or Boyang, doing 4Lo will be harder than 4Lz.

I agree. If Javi's aim is "just" the podium I don't know if that's high enough ambition. With the field we have now, any medalist will likely have been aiming for the gold. Not that I am counting him out, but I would want to control my own destiny as much as possible instead of relying on the inconsistency of others.

4LZ is harder than 4LP on paper, though the guys currently doing the 4LZ haven't successfully performed the 4LP in competition yet.
