Wow, I'm so in awe of that 2S-1Lo-4S! So much flow out of it too! :eeking: I'm not surprised though, since the backend 3S is so easy for him. It never looks like it takes him any energy.

The practice seems to be much better today than yesterday, which is better momentum-wise than the other way round, so I'm praying for him to go clean for his SP. Sounds like going 6th might be good with this ice condition....

Nah, never going to happen. Did you watch TdF? We had this massive puddle on the left side of the rink, that just kept spreading. Zhenya went down there. Javier went down at that spot too. You could see skates literally wobbling left-right on landings if you managed to hold on, water droplets flying and nothing. It's going to go on.
Sure, I watched TdF. But what if all the rink became giant pool? Would they stop it? Would they do something?
However I'm afraid the ice freezers (things under the rink which freeze the water) don't work properly. Maybe they have bad ice freezers, maybe the try to save money and didn't turn it on fully  I don't know, I just really hate it when competition depends on pools&luck.

It'll refreeze to become pond skating lol :sarcasm:.

Love that charlie white RT-ed that lol

Considering who we're talking about here, it's probably the money.
And don't we all. At best all federations start screaming and maybe, maybe something happens for the seniors, or more likely the free programs.

The 2s1lo4s reminds me of his 2s3t (overrotated 3t) fall at SCAC
maybe he was trying to do a 2s4t afterall

I was thinking the same thing. It was actually a single Salchow he did at Autumn Classic, but it makes the idea he was going for a quad at least somewhat more plausible. As others have mentioned I think seeing this also raises the possibility of quad-quad combinations in the not-so-distant future.

I'm glad people are appreciating the insanity of such a feat. I think there some other skaters that might be able to execute a 2S-1Lo-4S, if they were actually planning to attempt that. This was a pop, which typically means timing, balance, etc is off. Yuzuru is able to adjust and re-engage as soon as he lands that popped jump and make another attempt, after a loop no less. I am certain he is the only skater in the world with the ability to do that.

By the way people who are there say that it is wet for first several skaters especially ,after 20-25 min it dries and gets a bit better .

Wow, is this why Zagitova is the cleanest, considering her jumps still scare me. :noshake:
Hopefully Yuzuru won't face ice problem during his turn.

I've been seeing the couple with Pooh ears in the audience from the videos. They are so dedicated and travel everywhere!

So after 25 minutes the ice is no longer a complete disaster? :palmf: Grand Prix of Facepalming

One hour to go, oh my god i can't take this! I'm at work and i seriously considered bringing my Pooh tsum tsum hidden in my purse. I need it to hug it before the 4lo...
My nerves :sad21:

It's unfortunate to see the ice rink melting. The ice rink needs to be in good quality throughout the commit and not just in a few minutes. An extremely expensive fine should be imposed on the Federation responsible for hosting the competition in cases such as this. There are so many rules and standards for skaters and they are harshly penalized when they make mistakes. Judges analyze their performance and it does not matter if the track is good or bad. Why is there no penalty for the Federation in these cases? I have not read about it yet, but I believe there should be standards and criteria for opening and running ice rinks. Something needs to be done about it. And a great lack of respect for this sport and for these athletes who invest so high in their training. They need to value themselves and start refusing to participate in practices and competitions on tracks like that. I'm trying to stay calm. I trust in Yuzu's abilities. He's stronger. Praying, praying and praying for our boy and for all the skaters. It's gonna be okay. Ganbatte Yuzu! Ganbatte! SHUU!! and PAA!!!

Is there any online streaming link? I tried to find it even in the gpf 2016-17 threads but no one mentioned it. Thanks
