Yuzuru Hanyu: 2016-17 Season

I have just heard from my friends that some anti-fans collected signatures at Japan National Arena today. They told people those signatures were for blood donation support, but instead they intended to use it for their petition against Yuzuru competing at World Championships. It's good that they're exposed. Oh my...

Ridiculous. And that they had the guts to disguise it as a good cause - one Yuzuru is advertising for - isn't just making it a blow against Yuzu & his fans, but even against people suffering and actually needing blood donations. Just a disgusting thing to do.
(And totally stupid, as it would likely lose another skater an Olympic spot)

Hopefully Yuzu has no such negativity around him but is just recovering well with his family. I bet he saw nationals and is rooting for all of the others (and is angry he can't be there, but hopefully not too much!)

Oh. Wow. Seriously? These people need to find something else to do with their lives. Love of figure skating I get, love of certain skaters I get, but that is ridiculous. The skater they support instead would probably be horrified.

I read this too. Some people just have too much hate in their heart to do something like this tsk tsk. :noshake:
Anyway, those "fans" can stay pressed; for Yuzuru will still be their first OGM, WC, 4x consecutive GPF winner and 10-time world record breaker no matter what they do :dev2:

Alia Jackson, thanks for you effort and time in the project. What a meaningful and touching gift! Your project has connected the fans’ messages from different parts of the world into one big present that is full of our love and blessing to our beloved Yuzuru.:agree::clap:

You are the first Yuzuru’s fan who has helped me to present my message in the video and sent it to Yuzuru. It is actually also a memorable gift to me. It is my first birthday wish to Yuzuru as I have become his fan since this year. Thank you so much.:clapper::hap10:

My apology for the delay in the videos for Yuzu birthday messages as I’m struggling with some tech issues.

THANK YOU all for your birthday wishes to Yuzu!! Altogether 700+ birthday wishes from worldwide fans in 70 countries (raw data at this link).

The first 5 parts of the videos are up: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5

The videos of messages from the following countries will be posted in due time (New Zealand, Netherland, Norway, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Syria, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK, USA, , Ukraine, UAE, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam).

I think it's time for a Christmas miracle and some brains to fall from the sky and hit those in need :sarcasm:
Seriously :rolleye: disrespectful, disgraceful, despicable and just plain sad to what level some people will stoop to. Shame on all of them for not only running such a pitiful champagne, but also for dragging the name of a good cause into the mud. I hope the universe will kick you in the butt for that.

Umm I think it’s still a rumor? Or they actually collected? I can't find the tweets that they actually did that.
Anyway, nice try but even if it’s true and they could collect more than 1000 signatures I really don’t see that JSF doesn’t send him to the worlds. It’s a useless effort really :confused2:

I saw some tweets too, but I didn't know what happened until I read it here:eek: It makes me sad.I would expect this kind of things from the football fandom or other sports but not here. No wonder why Yuzuru said that some people hates him, I thought no way, I don't think someone could hate him but seeing that... I only hope he doesn't know about it.

Oh, I myself haven’t had the information about it though, if they do such a thing actually, it’s definitely a crime. They will be identified and punished according to the raw. I don’t think they will try such a risk…

This is what I was concerned with and it came true. I believe this is also the reason why in previous years he participated in Nats even though in pained which requires surgery and injured.

These rival fans would rather sacrifice the interest of Japan than to see Japan capturing Olympic/Worlds medal by Yuzu. What kind of mentality are these people and they are adults :disapp:

Back in 2014 he even specifically said that he does not want the ace title and "that going forward I think it’s not about deciding who the ace is, but all of us working hard together which will shape the future development of Japanese men’s figure skating."

I read this warning tweet. I don't know that it is about Yuzu at first though, but many Yuzu fans on twtter RT this. About what actually happen, I don't know for sure. But maybe you an ask her :)

Yes. I saw the tweet, too and it's still a warning tweet that she has heard as a rumor. But as hamaguri mentioned here, they will be punished by the law if they actually do that. I also doubt that they will take such risks…

Never underestimate stupid people

No doubt Yuzu is actually burning but there was really nothing he could do to defend his national title even if he wanted to .
It’s not surprising Shoma is the rising star.

With both pre-rotated jumps and under-rotated jumps but do not get calls.

Why don't you just go away from this thread? Given the fact that Yuzuru will not come back to Japanese coach in a city without enough facilities for his level no mater how much you rant and bash the coaches and choreographers he has chosen?

He will never be the old Yuzuru you want to follow. He has moved on. Why don't you move on as well?

The current winner's score is lower than any of Yuzu's at nats starting from 2012. Also there was a massive inflation because the winner was overwhelming favorite in Yuzuru's absence , but I am advicing you to give up on commenting on that clinical case's comments as “Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown, ignorance can be educated, and drunkenness sobered, but stupid lasts forever.”

Anyways my friend who was on venue confirmed those actions re faking Yuzu's blood donation papers and asking people to sign false petitions. They were caught on lie quite fast tho.

About this, I love almost all of team Japan, but personally, I don't think Japan has a decent jump coach? Yamada kids has serious pre-rotation and UR issues (they send Shoma abroad to fix his jumps actually). Hamada kids has relatively small jumps (and pr issues too, and maybe ur). Sato's kids are not stellar in jumps too. But all of them are really great at teaching skating skills though, and usually they have good presentation and interpretation skill. Nagakubo's kids are not outstanding in jumps either. For someone who care so much about jumps, I don't think coaches in Japan alone would be adequate to be honest.

Yikes :noshake:
