From the different forums, many fans in China call him ‘哈牛 (laughing cow)’, ‘牛牛 (cow)’, ‘柚子 (pomelo)’, as they are all phonetically similar to his Japanese family name 'Hanyu’. Or ‘jie xian’, ‘little angel’.

He can say his Chinese name very correct (even more correct than some Chinese, Chinese always made mistake on the pronunciation of 弦 ).

both this and the google one are the same. Just this one is softer and the google one is a little bit stiff.

I'm sure aside from "Thank you" and "Hello" he doesn't know any other word in Russian, Chinese, etc... lol!
But for sure, we can expect him to say thank you in Korean at some point during 4CC. It helps having Jun as a training mate.

yes, as Iong as I know 4cc will be his first visit to Korea. Although I can't attend this event, hope yuzu will have a nice time and good results. I feel some fearness and happiness at the same times, but hope everything goes well.

Regarding Yuzu chinese name, it basically carries the same meaning as that of Japanese because, as some of you may be aware, a lot of Japanese words have their roots in Chinese. I think the combination of the four chinese letters roughly translates to "Born as a feather, Tight as a tied String"

It is poetic and beautifully pronounced in both Chinese & Japanese.

More importantly, it encompasses the core Chinese/Japanese value of 剛柔並濟 (harmony is achieved when hardness is coupled with softness) - doesn't this fit Yuzu's personality and skating style? He's lighter, softer, and more flexible than most men but still with power and strength; he's strong-willed and hot-blooded but at the same time adorable and loves his pooh.

Conventional Chinese belief says that one's name impacts on one's personality and destiny. Whether this is true or not, Yuzu's name seems to reflect him very well!

EDIT: "Hardness coupled with softness" may also explain his extreme popularity for his looks in Asian countries. IMO Mainstream perception under Daoism (道), as opposed to those under western influences (sorry couldn't think of a better categorization), requires less masculinity from men and emphasises more on overall balance.
