A: You can’t explain. That had to have been at least +2, many judges gave it +3. And then there were judges who gave 0 and +1 to a triple axel without any setup, coming straight out of an Ina Bauer.
In any case, with a 2S he got 112 in TES. By changing his layout, he drastically made up his loss and ended up landing three types of quads, four times. Two quad toes and two triple axels in the second half.
M: In other words, positively speaking, this indicates great physical condition. Because you have to be in tip-top condition in order to land a triple axel 4 minutes 10 seconds into the program. Same is true for the last two quad toes. Negatively speaking, he was struggling with the quad sal. For sure he was practicing the new quad, 4Lz, already he was at 60% success rate. With an extra quad lutz in his free program during practice, the second half becomes kind of an experimental laboratory. So to be honest, I don’t know what to expect at Helsinki.
If, he skates the kind of extreme program he has in his head, and puts in all the elements, he’ll reach a cosmic score. Of course, that depends on physical condition and the possibility that he is human.
