Here, at about 6:30 (and at 2:04 you can hear his signature shuu-paa ) His exact words are "hiru made neru, yonaka made ge-mu... subarashii", the way he wrote it i think it could mean either midnight or just "really late"? (i think... i feel like it could be both...) So he might stay up later than 12am haha. He really likes games so i doubt he just practices and studies hahaha

He does have a Nintendo and PSP, doesn't it? I think I saw pictures of him playing them before.
Then once when he and Shoma were asked how men's figure skating was, he said everybody get along well and many of them play games. So, yeah, he likes it

Yep, and if i didn't abysmally fail at reading a tweet, before Sochi, at some gathering (camp?) with other Team Japan members, his PSP broke so he took it apart and i think he fixed it? I think it also said that he exchanged the hard drive of his computer by himself, because he is naturally good at fixing electronics or something like that (ok, what is this kid not good at?) I guess i can say i have another thing in common with a top athlete

But, you are right. We need to select which to buy. I like Ice Jewels and Kiss & Cry. Their prices are reasonable anyway.

Hmm... He might be bad but talent means nothing if you don't work hard. And he does, since he always tries to say thank you in the native language of the place he's competing at (oh my goood i can't wait to hear him say kiitos again:luv17:!!! Hyvää luistelu tänään? i can't finnish grammar, sorry, that's why i gave up the language )
I think his progress is slow because he doesn't speak english unless he's at TCC and probably when going with his mom to do grocery shopping. If he was more immersed i'm sure his progress would be faster, and even so, he begins to correctly pronounce dental fricatives which are really hard if you didn't learn to pronounce them when you were a kid (thankfully, i did learn to do them when i was small haha). And in the recent "Spirit of an athlete" program he says "go ahead" and sounds extremely cute <3

i'm more surprised that other skaters have much time to do other things

i guess this is why Yuzu (and other Japanese skaters) seem to be graduating on time...? Like 22 is the right age to graduate from college even if you're not an Olympic athlete But American athletes seem to take it much slower (nothing wrong with either).

Yes, per Brian, Yuzu (who is very private) practices and studies and lives with his mother. Unlike (poor) Javi, who doesn't have an onsite mother and so is forced to do his own cooking and cleaning (the horror).

Every interview, every time he is asked about the two of them, Brian always says the exact same thing. He's really got those talking points down.

Yeah I think Brian Orser does copy paste some of his answers to the media. Time to time. I guess it is to avoid talking too much about his students' current status.

Yes true, though he also seems to get quite similar questions most of the times.

It is quite great though that they really have their own 'space', so to speak. Figure skating is an intense sport mentally and people such as Yuzuru are really being held up as role models, and no one can live up to those standards all of the time. Even if I'm pretty sure he's an alien I think it is still applicable

And I'm reminded that I should get back to my books, I'm also as a 22-year old graduating this year (yay born same year of Yuzuru, even though it gives me a bit of an existential crisis - I mean what have I accomplished so far? No olympic medals that's for sure )

GPF has always been high level. Look at the winners : Kulik, Urmanov, Yagudin, Plushy, Lambiel, Chan, Takahashi, Hanyu etc. All are mostly world/olympic champion. You can't even say the same about 4CC, or the later European Championships.

In the US, our ladies podium finishers like Kwan and Cohen wouldn't even go. That was reserved for B team who were just off the podium.

So i realized that World's is probably going to be the last time i see BabySwan!Yuzu and i got incredibly sad :sad4: I started to get really depressed and melancholic about the off season
Also i hope his back is okay now, watching this side by side it was really noticeable...

WTT? Though of course he may choose to do something else. I think he was just taking precautionary measures and taking care in general. I'm hopeful about back right now.

Same. This EX is one of my forever faves. Maybe he'll bring it back someday, though the chances of that happening is small
