Provably he intends that the seond failure was not due to the mentality (you know he oftern falls in negative chain with his jums). He was thinking too much about technics towards the jump.

I see. I hope it is the case. I have been worried that lately he has been too preoccupied with being perfect and that a mistake in early element will affect him afterwards. I hope this is just an early season hiccups and not something that he has to deal with later. The advantage of having high BV program is that he can afford to make mistake and still score high as long as he delivers the rest of the elements.

Anyway, I predicted that this will be a tough season and I am prepared for disappointing results. But still, seeing his dejected face will never be easy. :slink:

Besides the 4lo and missed combo it isn't that bad and not that disastrous. imo, he still performed better here than in ACI (his movements were better) :)

yeah, I think SC short is quite enjoyable, too. I used to dislike up-beat fs programs, even exibition programs in past. But his prince is unique and awesome, especially stsq!! his styling and hair, too. maybe I can't be neutral mode in case of yuzu.
also, as other poster said, his gp pattern is surprising..not only low score but also almost same jump excutions. I don't know this is good or bad:p I'm not so sure winning fp considering his bv. but not so worry about this season.. As I said before, this season
may be tough for him and his fans ( of course, media and coach) in aspect of consistency and score, medal results after glorious last season. But I have a faith his challenge at this season will be worth for 1718season. Anyway, being male skater fan these time is like riding a rollar coasters, but at the same times, I have acclimatized up and downs( also praise and critics, too:drama:).:coffee: SO, whatever result will be, yuzu is yuzu and will do his best. Just hope don't depressed himself and stay healty. Also I get curious more about his this season's ex.

the same with me...
Any result is accepted but seeing that face was hard for me.

According to the twitter report, he discussed with Brian at KC for some time and clapped for Mura and left the rink.

I watched the SP yesterday night (it was a struggle to stay awake until 3am)...... And I just felt terrible, like every time I watch him live he messes up. I'm a huge jinx alive help, :hpull:
But the program itself was a delight! And the white pant is not as terrible as is ACI I'm starting to love it :)
I feel like this SP will give him the fighting spirit for the FP! Not expecting a clean one, but he can easily catch up on Mura and Reynolds. GO YUZU !!! :cheer:

yes he says that he has many potential scores of jumps at FS.

yes, i see this program stunning! Technically difficult. he is so busy! once all the elements get in order, it will be a fantastic program. Costume, coreo, music...

The stsq of both programs are divine. He definitely needs more time to get used to his new programs (maybe more so with sp because its fast).

I too am curious about his EX. But for now, can't wait for the LP! :cheer:

I miss the livestreaming. Part of me wanted a good skate from him, but knowing his pattern, I already brace for an imperfect skate. Tbh, I also feel sad to see his kuyashi face. But he still has a shot in LP and I believe in him. Last year he was 6th and managed to catch up to 2nd position. So cross fingers on him. Go Yuzu! Get revenge for the SP

On the other hand, I'm happy to see Tracy Wilson is listed as his coach again :agree: I read few pages back that Tracy helped him to get back on his feet post-World. He needs all the support he can. I know this is an impossible wish, wouldn't it great to see someday Tracy sit at the KnC with him. Wishful thinking and I can only dream of it.

Tomorrow is another day. Land that 4Loop and 3Lz Yuzu!

Been very busy this week but I had to take some time to catch up with news of Skate Canada. Although the result is unfortunate, I can't say that I am surprised. Yuzuru has not always performed at his best this early in the season. I have a feeling that we'll see great things from the FP, though. But if not, then we'll see how he improves at NHK :)

Thank you, everyone for sharing updates and information. I really appreciate your effort :D

Woke up, thought I had a kuyashii nightmare. Realized it was not. Kuyashii.

Well the FS is much more difficult but he's got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Could be a good thing, could be a bad thing, depends on his mental state. Hopefully he's brushed this off as typical and we're back to the good frustration, for his sake. Fingers crossed.

Oh I'm not too bothered with the combo, he messed up the first quad, wanted to make certain he will get the combo and bust. He was over-thinking, instead of letting his body go through with it, as it remembers how. It's very common. Perhaps even a consequence of the injury, in the sense that he said he worked a lot on the theory. That's fine but and this is something I can relate to, when the time comes it's better not to think to much but trust in training. Our poor kuyashii boy. He'll be fine, I have faith. He should let the music carry him tonight, it's so divine, and just forget about the competition, the quads, everything and just do it. His body knows what to do.

The only thing I'm not sold in Yuzuru SP is his costume :p Too bad he wasn't able to put second jump after 3S. But I strongly believe he can still make up the point difference in LP if he skates well :) We all have seen what he is capable of :hap10:

The only thing that makes me wonder is that he started to pop his quads, he usually was rotating them even with a fall, but now he is just opening

That loop looks very hard to do, it's hard to get perfect air position on it

Conscious of possible injury if he falls badly? It's definitely safer to pop than smack into the ice. Of course, you simply have to go for it, if he's reluctant, it's no good.

Is his knee ok from that 4Lo :( ?

I'm worried about that too, I took it as the explanation for the 4S, but watching it again, it doesn't look so bad as I thought it was live? but that was a dangerous landing for sure, even if ppl were commenting it looked cool.

So much of your post could be written about Gracie Gold. Overthinking, overanalyzing instead of trusting the training. So much pressure to be perfect -- and not just self-inflicted pressure either.

I think losing Worlds was a devastating loss for both of them. I can see it in their faces.

I think he is not ready yet to perform those programs with maximum power. It is not there yet. He is not peaking for Skate Canada, he shouldn't really. But I can feel he is pissed off. He needs more training to gain more consistency to perform those packed programs. It all takes time for his mind and body to perfom in perfect unison and that comes with more practice. Because he was off the ice for a long period of time and then had to teach his body almost from scratch he needs more time. He will rotate those jumps later into the season. He will not pop them. Time and patience. He is a hardworker. He will overcome this gap.

aw, I think he's thanking his feet and cheering on his knees :) cute
don't take my word for it, though.... also: still asleep
Yeah I get the general idea. Just sometimes the words may sound same cute as the drawing looks, so I really want to know what is written on those pictures.:)
