Just goes to show that in IJS you have to fully rotate and fall to have it worth it. Downgrades and underrotations will sink your scores fast.
Quad loop is the hardest to get full rotation. I guess that's why he is training 4lz as well lol. but anyway I think this is better than last year SC already. At least they let him win the free lol.

Has nobody told him that you only pull an Ashley splat after the music has ended?

Guess not. But you know these little things go into history (if not official, in our minds for sure) just like the record beating so i think it's time they gave at least diplomas or small medals for them. :points::scard8:

Does anyone know if Yuzu spoke in English at all during the presser? I see his translator is sitting there.

Does anyone know if the EX will be streamed?

PS: Wonder what surprises await us there... Donno if vodka, chocolate or valium will help :P

And the Skate Canada 2016 Most Delightful Dorky Dope Medal goes to...

Just got home after the event and it was so m6ch fun. I have to say the first flight really stepped up and delivered, but then, they did have less difficulty.

From my vantage point, it was yuzu's face that struck me most during the skate. He looked almost serene, and peaceful. I thought he must really be enjoying his performance. I still expect much more of him presentation wise, but that will come with time. I was so proud of what he did tonight, considering everything... I think it was a small victory by winning the free... I would have placed him 1st overall, but it was close considering his short. My concern is that some spots in the program look a little empty... but there is time.

I wake up and Yuzu has a silver medal!!! :clapper:

That's fantastic :hap93:, well done Yuzu!

The program wasn't perfect, but it was enough, more than enough.

We were so right to trust him and wish him well, you all deserve a big hug for that too :ghug::luv17:. The stronger we are, the stronger he is ;).

All in all, I'm quite happy with this first GP. It was the usual "start of the season" Yuzu, it was a great test for the programs, for his stamina, and for how well his health will fare. Hopefully he and his team can adjust consequently so he keeps getting even better through the season.
This might be a bit of a messy season in any case, but we've all got to remember that the endgame for that season isn't Worlds, it's the Olympic. Give it time, patience, and a lot of love :thank:

Well, I missed it live :( but I kept track of his score and watched it afterwards. I think this is a very solid, great start for Yuzu. Not missing any 4Ts this week must be a confidence booster (specially considering how much trouble it caused him). Good to now he didn't feel any regrets about the 4Lo, time to move to the next thing and try to do better for NHK! Once again, he proved us that he is a fighter like few, and this will motivate him even more (just don't peak too early please, Yuzu).
Congrats on your silver! I can't wait to his EX, and his costume for it!!! :yahoo:

You think one box will be enough.. Hmm on second thought better stash up with 2 (sugar comma guaranteed but who cares our hearts are strong)

(BTW, this midnight experienced the end of summertime fot the first time!. the time of my smartphone and PC changed! so surprised.)
