He said that 4A was his dream when he started skating. He thinks he is able to do one and if he can he will try it in competition. He answered in English.

Also some people need to calm down a bit. It was NOT a disaster.
He still land 3 quads and 2 3A. The fall on the 4S3T is predicted. It is the singled lutz that cost him at least 6 points. He doubled the 3S too. Had he nailed the lutz and the 3S his score would at least be 10 points higher.
Next time he should learn to not make little mistakes like this. He has the tendency to do this after he made a mistake, in which he makes unnecessary mistakes on triple jumps. :/

One fall-missed combo, and 2 pops. It wasn't a huge disaster by men's standard but it was pretty bad. Of course I didn't expect him to go clean but I wanted it to be better for his sake since I hate seeing him so sad in the K&C.

I kind of want Yuzu-Javi-Patrick to go 1-2-3 in that order at Worlds with no disasters lol

I'm happy to learn of his win! I have to confess I was so sure after his scores came up that he would end up 3rd overall, I switched to a more harmless channel the moment Fernandez appeared on screen. : Nothing against Fernandez or Chan and their programs, but I am really rooting for Hanyu this year. I didn't see the performance as a disaster at all- maybe in relation to his own standards, but as I'm a much less demanding, humble spectator, I was still in awe. Already a fan of the SP as it is, and I'm looking forward to seeing the FP skated to its full potential, hopefully at Worlds then! Congrats for a well deserved win!

My Pooh didn't explode because it's still newish but it's a miracle considering how tight i was hugging him. I knew he wouldn't be happy about this skate but he seemed to feel better about this than the disaster that was SC's SP... Our alien wins again
Lol@the 4A thing, but did you hear how he avoided answering at the part where they asked if they had already practiced it? i bet he has tried to do it when Brian isn't watching
I have heard in my eyes, his English is soooooo much better, he truly is pushing himself not only in skating but in many ways

I mean like please, he did not bomb as hard as Chan or Javi, people need to calm down a bit. This is what he meant by increasing his average score imo. Trying not to bomb so much eventhough you are not at your peak condition.



Maybe. He need to figure it out though. I thought he had overcome this issue because NHK and SC he managed to hold it together after making mistake on his 4Lo (SC) and 4S3T (both). It is such a waste of points.

That's why I wondered if it was due to the ice condition, or he's lucky the other two did so badly.

I know it wasn't a disaster by any means, and the fall on the 4S was to be expected, but the 2S and 1Lz was a little bit worrisome, that's why I said I wish he can work on his mental game.

Either way, congratulations Yuzu on 4 GPF titles, that's so so so amazing :luv17:
