And you need to chill a bit. But that's the thing about being a fan of someone, being Yuzu or another skater: there will always be over-reacting fans."A little joke"? "Sense of humor?" when someone is seriously ill and feels so responsible for his absence ? You totally lacks consideration as a human. Get out of here.
Well, the skaters do submit their choices for competition prior Nationals. But Yuzu has learned the hard way to always put health first. I'm not sure he'd have competed even if his spots were not guaranteed. We'll never know but at least we know he'll go to Worlds at the minimum.I believe he withdrew after getting JSF's approval and JSF already promised him the spots to 4CC and worlds. Otherwise, he would've chosen to compete to earn the spots even if he is sick. He is someone who competed after the collision in coc and right before his surgery in 2014 national, so he could qualify for GPF and earn the worlds spot after all.
JSF approves of his withdrawal because JSF actually doesn't want to force their top skaters to do Asian games. They only issued that public statement requiring their national champs to compete in Asian games because they are the host and the public expects their best skaters to be at Asian games. But JSF also knows none of their top skaters wants to compete at Asians Games if that means missing out on 4CC next year. (Asian Games has no value to any top skaters or to the skating community. Sorry, but this is true.) If Yuzuru competes in national and loses, and thus not compete in Asian games, or he competes in national and wins and chooses to not compete in Asian games, either way it makes Yuzuru look bad in the public. Letting Yuzuru withdraw is JSF's way to let Yuzuru skip Asian Games and compete in 4CC without making him look too bad in the public.
Regarding the AWG it's mandatory for national champions apparently, but if JSF end up deciding not to force, it would be nice. As far as I know, the only top skater who expressed the wish to go there so far is Satoko, who's going for her 3rd title this week-end (GO Tiny Queen!), so it would be nice for other skaters who aren't the top ones to go there as well. As a side note, Satton also wants to go to 4CC despite the competition being only a few days apart. So if Yuzu did participate and win... well I still think he'd go to 4CC and not AWG (too much "but" and "if" lol)
lol
We Toronto seems to be in a good shape this year at least no one gets flu around me, unlike last year. So come back to us early Boy!
