I think I rewatched Boston a couple of times, but it was hard to watch. At least at the Olympics it ended well for him and everyone did poorly. I am ok with COC because his display of will was strong even if it was a disaster. But boston....eek.

Less than 2 weeks until Korea...

I'm a little surprised by how much love LGC has with fans :0 I enjoyed it as it's a fantastic performance by Yuzu but wouldn't say I love it to death. I actually like Parisienne Walkways more... but that might be because it's the first program of yuzu's that I saw... I absolutely LOVR HL though. It's so perfectly beautiful and emotional and the music and choreo agave so much musicality and I feel like it's a message that has himself and all he's learned.

Why do you think it's a surprise that fans love LGC so much?
I love PW too but Let's Go Crazy, as a program itself and they way Yuzuru skates to it is much more mature than PW, which is of understandable because he improved and matured a lot since 2014.
I find LGC exciting and unique, and a very difficult program to sell to the audience. I don't think that even Yuzuru could have pulled it off a couple of seasons ago. But he keeps improving and has new challenges every season which is a huge risk, especially from someone who is the defending Olympic champion. I have never seen someone before who was as successful as him but still tried new artistic directions while at the same time constantly improved the technique too.

Count me amongst the ones who love love love LGC. That program has brilliant choreography, in my opinion, both complicated but also camp and fun, and perfectly timed with music on so many little details - my favorite is the final spin and its entry, I don't think I've ever seen a spin going so well with music. Buttle is worth his reputation, and when Yuzuru finally got into the mood for real, that program's amazing. I don't even particularly like the song but its campy mood, go so well with choreo and Yuzuru's interpretation that the combination is just amazing.

PW was amazing too in its perfect execution, and I still love rewatching it, but I love LGC no less.

I actually wish he'd leave it for the Olympic season because it'd be a great program to impress the wider TV audience with.

I was at Boston and now I can barely recall what I saw of Yuzu's lp. Never went back to watch anything from Boston. I had watched his COC lp for many times but Boston, I just cant.

I think Let's go crazy step sequence is the craziest step sequence among top men. It's so difficult and fast. I love it.

I never watch the Boston LP, to think that I just into FS last December...and read trough some blog how was the program went, I just can't...

Imagine how bad of an impact was that competition for Yuzuru, if we fans not even dare to rewatched it and try to deny that its ever happened. Maybe I'm not even surprise if Yuzuru will cry after LP next month in Helshinki ala Nice 2012

I watched Boston 2-3 times I think. The first one was just when it happened and the second (and maybe thirid) one was few weeks after to check the Stsq level. Honestly, the skate itself was not bad. He fell once and hands down twice; he has many skate more disastrous than that. However, the hardest part of watching Boston is not the skate, but seeing his face after the skate and during the kiss and cry. He looked so disappointed at himself.

I actually have a few skate from him where I only watch 3-4 times a best : 2014 NHK, 2015 Worlds, 2012 SA FS, 2013 SC, 2013 TEB FS, 2013 4CC and 2015 SC SP among them. But these are all mainly because his skate was not his best and there are other version where he did better, so I never subject myself to skates where he did not do well and struggle to watch over and over.

CoC 2014 though, I only watch it once, back when it happened; and I wasn't even a Yuzuru fan back then. It is already so difficult to watch then and now that I became his fan I just don't see the reason to revisit that skate.

I LOVE and TREASURE H&L, really hope that Yuzu will keep it or just create H&L 2.0 (just change slightly according to what Yuzu wants) for his Olympic LP for the sake of him.:luv17::thumbsup:

To me, H&L is in a class of its own among all programs so far because of the following reasons.

1) Yuzu himself is the main character in the program. It is his own life (skating) experience. This program is he himself. It is the BEST that he plays the role of himself in one of his programs for Olympic. H&L is so unique that Yuzu is the ONLY one who can skate to bring out the soul of the program.

2) The themes are so meaningful and ‘powerful’: Yuzuru and Nature
Yuzu: only 1 Yuzu in the world and his unique significance
Nature: no human beings, living creatures or plants can live without Nature
I initially (before the release of the Shae-Lynn Bourne’s interview) see/ believe the program as Yuzu skating to express his love and affections towards nature. I hold the same belief now.

3) Most importantly, in my opinion, it is the program that can bring him the best of luck and help him reign Olympic champion. For this concept… it is difficult to explain here.
I have that strong belief since I know the themes of the program (around AC).

According to a person who read Brian's new book on Twitter, that they aren't planning to repeat LGC nor HL for Olympic season.

Boston, SA and COC are definitely the most sensitive for me, though.

I haven't watched Boston. Like at all. And i don't plan on watching it, i just can't... Because i think about what happened, and what he felt while skating. It's too hard for me to watch. I'm with the people who can't watch Sochi's FS either.

In other things, sightly off topic: I started my japanese lessons today, and one of the first things i got to ask was about how you conjugate kuyashii Gotta know the important things!

Just found the below information in Facebook posted by Shuko Doyle in YHIFG:

"I want to share some information from "Team Brian II".
On the p200, Brian said, " this season is a pre- Olympic season, so their (Javi and Yuzu's) pieces of music for SP and FP were not from the top of my list. I want to save 'the best' for the Olympics. I (or we?) have the ideas regarding wonderful pieces of music, but I have put them aside so that they (Javi and Yuzu) can shine (in the Olympic scenes) in February, 2018." (Translated by me)
This is what Brian wrote, not Yuzu, so nothing is certain as Yuzu seems to know what he wants (which can be different from Brian's). As we can see, Yuzu likes the music which touches his soul and let him find profound meaning in it (which precisely reflects in his performances; he doesn't skate to his music, but he plays music with his skating). He connects to his music in a spiritual level like H&L.
If what Brian wrote is what is going to happen, we can see 'Let's Go Crazy' and 'H & L' only a few more times in competitions. I will treasure every single occasion of Yuzu skating these programs as I really love both!!"

Since we're on the topic of sad times... fair number of fans are saying that Brian was very fuzzy in his book about what had happened to Yuzuru during Boston.

In contrast to what Shirota-san said, the Jounetsu Dairiku program, and Aoi Honoo 2, he seemed to be saying that "Yuzuru peaked at the wrong time" and kind of left it at that. I wonder why. I'm guessing it's mostly Yuzuru's fans who are buying the book... and I think everyone's interested in reading about Boston...

Update: apparently troubles at Boston included, day of SP, being locked out of his room right before the competition shuttle was about to leave, so they had to go back and forth frontdesk and room.... and missed the bus. On the day of FS, the support team got the wrong starting time for official practice, so warm up was also shortened.

But otherwise it sounds like it's going to be a good, warm read. Apparently Javi and Yuzu have different training schedules, and the evening before Yuzu's day off, Javi will invariably argue that because Yuzu has a day off, he should take a break too

I so deny this happened, i didn't even put it on the list. I know he is fine now and everything but watching that still makes me feel anxious, sad and frightened.
