just FYI he pop his 3a1lo3s into 3a1lo2s happened 3 times in last year. nhk, gpf and worlds, it's like a pattern now. Look i'm not depreciate his 3a, and i'm not trying to compare it with other people's 3a or how badly they meltdown. all i'm trying to say is it is not some points he could make sure he will get no matter what anymore. when he has problem with his 3a, it always comes with other problem, like popping 3lz into single, so it's like 10 points total. with the fact that he does not have that huge technical margin to the rest of the field, it could be crucial if it happened again.
But that's not a pattern at all, especially not a pattern somehow related to a 3A problem.
Boston is a skate that shouldn't be taken as an example of anything, I think it's pretty clear why.
NHK combination - there is nothing wrong with the 3A, he lost stamina and popped the Sal
The GPF combination - this is the only one where he had trouble
I mean, you're welcome of course to draw your own conclusions, but I don't see a problem with the 3A. With the 4S-3T fall, which is a very big deal, it doesn't just disrupt the momentum of the skate, it takes away a lot of energy, he then changes his lay out and does a 3A-3T for the points, and then once, he has a small problem with the 3A, and still tacks on a 2T (and manages a downgraded 1Lo

). What he needs to make those 3A combos easier, are clean quads that precede them and
that is not easy at all.
That's just the risk of a multiple-quad program. They take a lot of stamina, they're risky, the 3As come after that and with his high technical difficulty for the rest, including how he gets to the 3A combos, I think he's more than stable with an incredibly difficult jump that gives problems to people when they're doing it solo with no particular entrance to it
We can and do I think, worry about the 4S-3T because that's what starts the chain reaction.
