Yep. It's not that I personally care that much whether he comes first or last - I just know how much it matters to him, so I want him to be happy and... win. And unless he wins - with a good skate - I get terribly upset.
But that feeling of elation when he's good... - ah, it's so addictive!

i really need to prepare myself mentally for world's this time... :hopelessness:

:palmf: at the fact that 2014 CoC is being brought up in that thread ...
both as an argument that lack of accountability in PCS judging should be expected
but ALSO that it's ridiculous?

:slink:

can't believe we have to pointlessly relive that event again and again......

i've been through my fair share of fandoms and for better or worse i have started to accept the fact that nothing would faze me anymore... it's probably been some 4 years since i was seriously engaged in a fandom

but ohh mannnnn watching the 4cc live??? it broke me mannn. it woke something up inside of me i thought was dead. i am SO concerned abt this boy. i just want him to be happy???? i feel so strongly about his well-being

same lol. I've been "around" fandoms for more than half of my life and I've seen the craziest things, but I was so surprised at the depth of feeling this boy awakened in me, I haven't felt half as concerned about some people I actually know in real life, I'm half ashamed to say. :drama:

I don't know what watching worlds would do to my nerves. 4cc was hard enough. Maybe I should take up alcohol like some of you

I know. Like, yes, that's a ridiculously scored event. That's a ridiculous event overall. Please stop using that as standard. (And also please stop making it about Yuzuru vs Nathan and ignoring about half of the people also piping up in that thread)

Hugs - we all do. But that's yet a month away - so let's enjoy the light-hearted nonsense for a while! We're not very likely to get any news before the Worlds... :(

I personally choose to pretend CoC 14 never happened. Any of it.

He's an alien and has the power to influence people's feelings. That's the only explanation i can find for what he awakened in me. Having my idol playing right in front of me, speaking with him, getting his guitar pick straight from his hands in the middle of
the whole audience looking at me in disbelief because he was addressing directly at me and getting to hug him... All that combined is equal to the joy i felt when i saw Yuzu win his fourth GPF title or watching his face at the end of NHK Trophy's Seimei.
It's incredible to me how this tiny space asparagus can make me feel such intense happy emotions.

hahahahhh I am probably guilty of the same thing

I think it has to do with how in tune he is with his own feelings and how he doesn't shy away from expressing them, you can't help to feel with him. he is seems so pure

My story of discovering Yuzuru is completely strange...

One day, I was on Snapchat checking my snaps. My friend, who is a huge history geek, sent me a picture of a Chinese poet named Han Yu or something, but I mistakenly thought it read Hanyu. So I googled Hanyu, which led me his videos on Youtube. I think my first was his Worlds exhibition piece, so that program holds a very special place in my heart. From then on, I was a changed person

I love him and will support him forever!!! Probably!! And I will probably die of heart attack while I'm at it!

I have exactly the same feellings. This season I watched all his competitions on livestream and went to Marseille. I suffered a lot and almost died during the free skate at GPF, but it was worth it. It is not about medals, you just desperately want to see him happy.

At 4CC medal ceremony he looked at the top of podium in such a way... it broke my heart :palmf:

I'm afraid I'm emptying them as I fill them up :palmf:
that thread, oi vey

I never thought I'd get involved!
One little fact they choose to ignore - with five falls and all the negative GOE and deductions, Yuzu got the highest technical mark at CoC 2014 LP, because he bloody rotated everything. Even with PCS 10 points lower he'd have been second.

It broke my heart too, but honestly, the way he celebrated his FS score made the recovery faster...

Exactly. We still had the old rule then and Dornbush who ended up third still had lower TES by some three points in the FS. Yuzuru had almost 11 points advantage overall so seriously, I just hate when bogus arguments start popping up.
And getting involved is not bad, gets the blood going. Hurrah

And that is a veryyy little fact for them :drama:

One thing any Hanyu fan realizes very quickly here is that facts are often public enemy #1 and logic is public enemy #2.

What are you talking about? Don't you see we are just blinded by this space asparagus and we are the ones who are sore losers and don't accept the facts ?
