Yuzuru: I had no worry about the spots (for the Olympics). I was sure Shoma would definitely make it.
Shoma: I was sure Yuzu-kun would definitely make it.
Yuzuru: I think we both could skate very freely.

My throat was sore from cheering so loudly, I was roaring along with everyone else, after each magnificent quad.

I loved that smirk at the end....honestly, I think not leading in the short was the best that could've happened to Yuzuru. Of course, I want to see him break records everytime, but that attack, that "I'll show it to y'all" is only possible from behind and not when you're already declared the winner from the start.

the cheers when yuzu landed the 4S-3T combo was the loudest like they were thinking: finally!!

Everyone in the arena KNEW!!! From then on I wasn't totally relaxed but I somehow knew he wouldn't let anything else get to him from then on. Not after landing the Combo of Doom!!

OMG guys I woke up to tens of pages lol but no regret backtracking all!!

Still feeling high from the hype. I've been screaming internally because of Yuzu and while I know a lot of you really went all out with the screaming and all, no worries it's just my style. I'm always like that (internalized screaming and all that haha).

I've watched plenty of interviews including the press and I feel like even with his rather limited (but surely improved) English he really sound like a nice, well mannered guy. I giggled a bit when he mentioned about possibly having bad performance and that he's still frustrated with his short kid is so honest it's cute!!

Thanks for all sharing translations and stuff.. I feel like downloading pretty much everything!!

There's a small talk about his Biellmann back there and I agree that it's pretty in its own way.. also love how he lets go of it now it's really smooth. Also that the music goes so well with the spin just makes it lovelier.

I also read that he thought of adding one more quad but felt lacking of energy ooo thank God he did not haha it's already flawless!! :luv17: maybe next time hun!!
The quality of his jumps were just... Ugh it deserved the best GOE if not a perfect one!!! And the apparent louder shouts from the audience after he executed the combo of doom - I giggled now but yesterday I was holding my breath on the verge of panicking.. then when he did it I was thinking ok now it's safe right.. he couldn't mess up right.. only to continue stressing myself out even when I was already seeing 105 tech score and 'omg no he still has that trippy lutz!!' it kept going up to >120 :hpull: *the laggy streaming didn't help lol.
At the end when he's bowing and stuff.. 'you guys, look at me!! I DID IT!! I CAN DO IT!!!' so graceful so elegant! Imagine how he must've felt!

The K&C reactions were priceless oh God. Tracy's and delayed reaction Brian's 'I KNEW IT' Yuzu's 'ok.. I'm not crying' *wipes tears*

Rewatching videos and noticing how the timing of the combo of doom changed a lot since ACI. I think after GPF/4CC he may have finally decided not to try and time it perfectly to the music highlight because it was being impossible. So he jumped it a bit later than that, which was the compromise he had to settle for to finally nail it.
