Really approve of this hair length!
And Zhenya's dress is so pretty!It's the pinstripes...if he wears a pinstripes, he should wear a skinny tie to make it more rock n roll.
And this is the guy who wore pants so tight it started invisible conversations in this threadBut seriously for the sake of everything holy Yuzu, please do find yourself a suit that actually fits you. Give us fans something nice for our eyes to feast upon please.
This suit is ok except it's cut a bit too big in the shoulders and arms.
Yuzu has the same build as Joseph Gordon Levitt in Inception - lean body, with long arms and legs and a long neck. He would look amazing in any of these in a similar cut but perhaps in different colors because their hair and skin tones are different.

228 is a bit of a stretch where I would give him +3 on almost all jumps and a bit more on spins and steps too + perhaps 99-ish PCS
But I think 4 points more should be what he should have gotten? Like +3 on both 3A + 4S + 4T and 98.5 PCS (like his GPF one)
ETA : Which judge from which country btw? Suddenly I am interested to do quick analysis about the GOE-marking of the top 6 guys

Quick observation for top 6 updating as I type:
Judge 1 SPN :
Give lower PCS to Yuzu than Javi (94.5 vs 96.5 lol pls), even Javi get higher PCS than Patrick (95); Boyang (76) Nathan (79.5) Shoma (89.5)
give 19.5 GoE to Yuzu (the highest) 10 to Javi, other get 10-ish but Nathan (-1.3)
Judge 2 CHN :
Actually give him high PCS 98 (highest) but 90 to Boyang (LOL), Nathan (85), Javi (94.5) Chiddy (94,lower than Javi yikes pls) Shoma (88.5)
Yuzu got the highest GOE (19.9), Shoma (7) Boyang (18.4 haha) Nathan -4.5, Patrick (6.4) Javi (5.4) --> generally okay aside of clear national bias to Boyang but this judge is generally stingy as hell
Judge 3 RUS :
Give almost similar PCS for Yuzu and Shoma (97.5 vs 97 YIKES), Boyang (83) Nathan (85) but rightfully gave chan (93.5) ahead of Javi (92)
Again Yuzu rightfully receive the highest GOE (25.80) but also generous to Uno (19.80). Boyang (13) Nathan (-4.2) Chan (5.5) Javi (5.7)
Judge 4 ISR :
This one loves Yuzu. Highest PCS (98.5) but again not so much gap with Shoma too (96), CHan (95.5) a bit ahead of Javi (95) Boyang (83.5) Nathan (84)
Highest GOE for Yuzu (25.6) Shoma (19) Boyang (11.1) Nathan (-0.3) Patrick (11.7) Javi (11.2) --> pretty ok I think, Shoma's PCS and GOE a bit too high but well J4 like JPN men
Judge 5 CAN :
Despise Yuzuru lol. PCS (93.5) give him lower PCS than Shoma (95, are you drunk), Boyang (80.5) Nathan (79.5) Patrick (94.5) Javi (91) --> it almost felt like J5 spite Yuzu lol
Highest GOE for Yuzu (18.2) Shoma (12.8), Boyang (6.8) Nathan (-8.4) Patrick (14.7, generous I might say) Javi (3)

This one loves Yuzu but don't give much gap to others. Highest PCS (98.5)not so much gap with Shoma (96.5). Boyang (85.5) Nathan (83) Patrick (95.5) Javi (97,excuse me with a fall are you drunk)

Judge 8 UKR
Give lower PCS to Yuzu (97.5) than Shoma (98, lmao wth) Boyang (90.5???) Nathan (89, with 2 falls?????) Patrick (93.5) Javi (96.5, again with a fall wth judge)

Highest GOE to Yuzu (21.4) Shoma (12.2) Boyang (15.2) Nathan (-5) Patrick (10.9) Javi (1.3). --> I actually agree with the GOE ordinal though it is stingyyyyyy
Conclusion : Funny, I disagree with all of them. I did similar thing at GPF 16 and I rightfully agree to the ordinal/point gap to at least 3/4 of the judges. So many huh?????? things in this I need to digest first
My take :
1. I find myself agreeing with Chinese judge score the most aside of Boyang's score and stinginess. And maybe higher PCS for Chiddy about 2-3 points from Javi.
2. The AUS, ISR and KOR judge seems like what it would be like judged under normal circumstances and normal sentiment (to a lesser extent the RUS judge). Look at their scoring to see what the trend is in general
3. Yuzuru actually received mostly over 97.5 PCS even 98.5 but the saltiness of Spanish and Canadian judge bring his final score down. Same with GOE, many give him in the 22 range, 25 and 26 but salty SPN and CAN judge gave below 20 so the average dropped to 22-23
4. If I count out National Bias of their skater, the SPN and CHN judge actually is how I want to judge/score them
5. UK and UKR I just don't get them lol I need someone to help me fathom their score. At least for SPN and CAN it is justified with national bias
6. I must say, I come to the conclusion that the judging here is a bit of a mess

Indeed! This hair length suits him, tho i think if it styled LGC style it will be a whole lot better
Dark colour would have suit him, dark blue or something. I can totally imagine how amazing he will look like

Earlier, I mentioned that inthe CBC broadcast Kurt mentioned pre rotation with regards to Shoma. I should clarify that it was an acknowledgment of it, he gave no opinion of it being bad or good. Below is what he said regarding his jumps:
K: look at that deep knee that you (to dance coach carol lane) covet for ice dance... that knee allows his upper body to shift to the left and then he uses his core and the twist of the knee to actually make a correction. He does it on almost every landing and that buys him time, plus, his quad secrets are out, plus, he actually rotates a lot on the ice before he takes off. Not on the axel, that's beautiful, but on his toe jumps. These two elements together make his quads very consistent even though he doesn't jump as high as some of the other guys.

After the rollercoaster this competition was now I'm feeling sad it's over.I just want to thank all the users in this thread for all the info, support and craziness for the past days and in general in every competition. I'm really glad I found this place after Sochi and I've seen how much it keeps growing. It's really great to have a place where I can fangirl freely with all of you LOL.Thanks everyone 
Replying to myself: I just found out that Dutch national television also aired the FS live (both on television channel 1 and on livestream).
Edit: but it cannot have been live, because the time is off. So probably a recap after all. :-/ Still, will check it out.

Some intersting thing about PCS: Patrick gets scored fairly consistently, differences between highest and lowest is 3.5 poits, Yuzu too, difference is 5 points. Now Boyang: the difference is 18.5 points!
It's a pity there was no Japanese judge to balance out the Spanish one, although the Korean judge was a pretty good stand-in. Idon't know, somehow the Canadian judge being universally harsh except Canadians doesn't seem as blatant as the Spanish one .

My guess is a victorious return to Japan. If so, the Japanese media will surely let us know with airport arrival footage. I think they might do a media blitz... then there are the events in Japan which will probably keep him there all month. I am just guessing these things...

Finished watching Notte Stellata for the second time we caught in on TV today. Managed to convert my mom completely, and this gala was all it took. Our Eurosport commenter didn't need any converting, he was gushing like a fangirl, called Hanyu divine and gorgeous and several other compliments that I've forgotten by now.
I'm off to bed now, but I thought I'd share the words my mom said a moment ago about Yuzuru: she said that all the other skaters she's ever seen feel human, but Hanyu is the only one whose soul/spirit predominates over the body. I'm moved :sad46:; and the words still resonate with me, as I think the description is so very fitting. Goodnight folks, and if someone knows where to find the Worlds video of Hanyu looking for the pooh at the boards, please let me know. Thanks.

Considering from where he started -- recovering from a career-threatening injury -- and his ambitious plan of raising the difficulty of his programs by incorporating a new quad and a new quad-triple combo in his programs, I will answer that this season he exceeded my expectations and fulfilled my hopes and dreams for him.
OOT but I remembered some of you here Yuzuru fan is also a Federer fan and wow what a good day for you all, Federer won 1 grand slam + 2 Masters 1000 and Yuzuru finally get his 2nd world title with a WR score. Good time
Thank you. I must admit that when Yuzuru was in fifth place heading to the free at Worlds, I remembered Roger down a break in the fifth set in the Australian Open against Rafa who had caused Roger so much heartbreak in the past and thought that Yuzuru will overcome just as Roger did.
More points of similarity between them: their great love for their respective sports which allows them to push through despite setbacks, their air of regalness -- royalty on ice and on the court -- which doesn't mean they cannot be as scrappy as streetfighters in the heat of competition, their insatiable hunger to win, the gift of making the extremely difficult look ridiculously easy; they both appear making much less effort and having more time to do things than their competitors, and ... not being afraid to cry in public.
This Federer fan had a great weekend
Ditto. :agree: How fortunate indeed to live in this Age of Federer and this Age of Hanyu and see them compete and make history.

I think that my mom was literally the same , I forced her to watch the last group sitting next to me because I was so stressed that I needed someone with me (lol)
When Yuzuru finished his skate she said "he's born to do this , he is really touched by grace that's he seems unreal , the way he is skating to this music is simply beautiful , it's looks like he's timeless , seeing him you can't even talk and just watch"
I can tell you that to hear that from my mom I was really moved . And after watching the others she said "yep I was right , the others are really great , but I was not as moved as Yuzuru's performance, it's him and then the others here"
