I'm pretty sure Yuzu is on social networks, like everybody, but under an alias and private accounts so noone can find him...

I dunno, he could just have private things to chat with friends like Line or whatever is more popular in Japan (I don't have line so I don't know how it works but a similar app kakaotalk also has a blog part too..It's easier to be unsearchable on things like that than other social media). I know idols that made private accounts on instagram, twitter, facebook etc had the accounts found even if fans couldn't view anything posted. Something would have been stumbled upon by more...enthisiastic fans by now. Even if he doesn't have idol-level creepy fans.

He could be I understand why he would avoid social media if he can get distracted by surroundings/'outside voices' too much. Connecting/sharing things publicly for fans to see can be nice because you can see support you have but it can also be stressful, esspecially since he is careful with his image and doesn't seem to like to expose his private life much. Support messages from fans can be nice but sns can also be invitaions to criticism and even well-meaning demands that can cause stress. He can recieve fans' support without it and share things with friends without it.

Whoa, I'm not surprised he has a Youtube channel, I'm just surprised it is pretty clearly him lol (has his name).

ETA: That means the instagram/twitter etc. accts under the same name are also his (but they're all private). Twitter has his name and birthday but only 1 tweet haha.

I actually would think if those acc were made after aug/sept 2016 (after he announced his programs) it is likely not his. I am pretty sure many people find the YT channel the same way I did and some might make instagram/twitter acc just for the laughs.

oh i see, you are right..

They have no idea about the FS. I was angry at cameramen the whole competition. And when they failed to capture some special moments from the Swan...:hpull:

I lost my patience during Gala, they ruined some moments :sad4:

I need to find an original version of this picture but this is now my favorite Yuzu photo. Well, for now I guess.

Edit: Okay, this is a very close second.

I saw this photo on tumblr, it's amazing

Nelson has been commenting figure skating for 30 years and still can't tell a spread eagle from a spiral .
But his love for Yuzu is genuine.
In fact I've found that our three musketeers comment are deeply annoying when you're watching live, but very enjoyable when you rewatch the program :)

Btw thanks for translating, I wanted to do it, you saved me some time ;)

They also praised Yuzu A LOT during the gala commentary. For them, Yuzu was the absolute king of the whole competition, the champion amongst the champions of Worlds championships.

How can anyone who thinks this ever be annoying?:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

I kind of doubt he has any social media accounts. Also I am starting to wonder if he has a phone at all. He has an iPod touch and if I am not mistaken that's the one he used to take a photo of the fans during the small medal ceremony.

I'm not sure if someone has done it before me (sorry too lazy to check all the pages :p), but I've translated the French commentary on France TV done by Nelson Monfort (sport commentator), Philippe Candeloro (2-time Olympic bronze medalist) et Annick Dumont (FS coach and commentator).
They're praising Yuzuru VERY much. :agree:

Thanks for the translation. :thank:
Do we have a video link for this?

It was definitely a iPod touch here .

you know this playlist created 10 month ago makes me very curious

I know right? Another chopin? I am thinking it was just laid out choices prior to deciding on hope and legacy (which they eventually chose). Bummer. If it is indeed his account I wonder if he would make a playlist like this again this season considering fans have found it :hopelessness:
For SP he always let Jeff decide but for LP these past 2 seasons look like he is the one who decided more

I agree, it was controversial. The GOE's were criminal. He Wuzrobbed tbh.

Had he skated 5 th or 6th and were 1st or 2nd after SP he would have got absolutely different GOE's and 1-1.5 pts higher pcs...:sarcasm:
Canadian judge was the shame of this competition.

They were saving points for Javi and Shoma.

In case of Shoma their tactic almost worked. :scowl:

Yes, my heart stopped when Shoma's points was announced. I was calculating like mad in my head. I like Shoma very much, he gave it all, but this competition had another hero.

yes they are, for example Daisuke's highest LP and total score are from WTT 2012

yes :) they will be counted as world records.

Since it is ISU competition I guess yes. And new quads also :dev3: jk.

A girl can hope :)

Yes it would be difficult because Chopin just had perfect scores, but he's raised his base value a bit with LGC AND he's world champion now, so who know ? :cheer::cheer:
