Hoping for Cheerleader Yuzu tomorrow~ No excuses to hide away now!
I'm glad he was able to pull out a good free. It might not have been perfect but no one was, and even with 2 popped jumps Yuzu can get 200pts, that really speaks of the quality he skates with.
As I said on twitter: Yuzuru is another level, he doesn't have to be flawless to give an incredible, memorable, moving, inspiring performance. That he has given us some perfect performances is a rare and incredible thing that shouldn't be taken for granted. But it's the fighter within him, his strong spirit, the way he puts his heart and soul into every step and every element, the way he doesn't give up...that's what makes him a true champion and one of the greatest skaters of all time. He stands out, not because he's always perfect, not because he wins a lot, but because even when errors are there the performance is still incredible. You could see it in the short even though he messed up the jumps he still delievered on the spins and steps and did his best to serve the program how it should be skated (though he couldn't quite muster the energy but that is understandable), and we've seen it so much this season when he's come to fight with his free program.

Even if this season was a struggle and it will be looked back on as a fairly bad season overall, he has really achieved a lot and I hope he can find pride in that. His skating has improved and refined so much, he has grown so much as a skater and performer. I'm excited to see it put into new programs next season (and the Hanyu cycle is good season-bad season-good season right? so next season should be good :P)

I'm sad Shoma had a fall and seemed really disappointed with his performance but I hope both Yuzu and Shoma can be proud, they both helped out their team a lot and did a great job. They both seem to support each other and respect each other well. I wish the rivalry baiting would chill out.

Anyways, all I want and hope for from Yuzu is a happy face when he skate is done. It doesn't matter is everything is perfect, just end with a happy face.

I watched 4CC live but it was after 2 glasses of wine. And for worlds right before group 2 started I was losing my mind so I had to make a wine run and returned right in time for Misha Ge's skate. I was able to chill out for a little while, but by the time Yuzu's group came up it was starting to wearing off. That he skated first was a small relief because my nerves would have been in overdrive if he skated any later (and we couldn't bring food and drinks to our seats). How will in survive PyeongChang? If alcohol isn't involved, I have no effin' idea :drama::drama::drama:
I survived Worlds thank to shameful quantity of cava (Spanish version of champagne).
The worst thing is to watch livestream at work, you can't count on alcohol to handle your nerves.

Somebody needs to give him a flower crown for the K&C tomorrow!

Seriously I'm fine with anything they give him but we already got bow and the headband, I approve of the flowercrown, bunny ears and mayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyybe Mt Fuji
Just give me something different tomorrow
Mayyyyyyyyyyyyybe

On a very important side note can we appreciate Mama Tracy for all the kind and proud looks she has on her face in every picture? I have found a new love in her :laugh::laugh:

3 quads in the second half... he's ready for a 5-quad LP next season, right?

After watching the LP I was just like, God, somebody put these guys in a van and drive them to the nearest onsen, karaoke bar or something. These guys need rest.

And bless the person who gave that pink bow headband to Yuzu.

I'm much more excited for tomorrow. Yuzu and Shoma in the K&C. :dance3:
It was really cruel to put these guys under the same pressure 3 weeks after the Worlds.

One day of rest before the gala! It doesn't happen in every competition.

Yuzuru Hanyu, the king of LP and comeback.

Did you guys realize that this season, Yuzu ALWAYS placed first in LP, except for GPF last year (where he won gold never the less).
This is his best achievement yet since senior debut.

And GPF demonstrates he is also good in SP, despite what he said yesterday. He was angry at himself, I hope he doesn't have these feelings anymore.

The fanfest pages continue to grow! We can heave a sigh of relief and enjoy Yuzu trying to cheer but actually being really concentrated and serious.

Yeess amen to this... I sincerely hope the SP thing doesn't get to him next season :sad4: *knock on all things wood in my room*
Whenever Yuzu wants to regain his confidence, he should go back and watch his SP at GPF 2016.
You're still a rock star Yuzu no matter what!!

So great to see Yuzuru so happy! Great skate, at the 4T-Lo-3S. Yep, he messed up the last 3A (and I feel like I jinxed him by calling it reliable as a last jump a couple of weeks ago) but the edge coming out of the last 1A = Love

Also, great interpretation and flow!!! Should have gotten more in PCS! Just saying... the pops weren't that interruptive and the flow throughout the skate was sooo great

So now please, fun at Gala. Quad battle? Or all the quadsters too tired? :drama: (still wanna see that 4x-L-4x)

And then the terror of no more skating for months will dawn upon me...

Maybe I will just move to Canada and apply to be Max Ambesi's spy?

YOu know what I thought was cute? When he is standing at the boards before skating and he's in front of Tracy and Ghislain and then he looks a bit down to the left and gets this sweet little smile on his face.. he's gazing at his Pooh!!!:laugh2: It really is true love.

We need to figure out how to smuggle Pooh for Olympics. They can't be separated :laugh2:

I think it's 偉い (erai), which means excellent/admirable.
Thanks! Looks like that's it to me too. That's one of those instances where I know the word but not the kanji. Par for the course .

 I don't think I've watched live streams there of him skating. I do remember sitting at my computer during the olympics though, refreshing to see what he'd do. I saw -2 points I was like "Well, I guess Chan's got this one." :slink: And then it refreshed after Chan and :yahoo:

Thank you so much ! <3

No problem!

Man alcohol only worked on good competition bc it made me feel more happy and excited. On bad competition like Boston (ㅠ ㅠ), it made me feel more sensitive and upset

Did you go to Boston? I was there and ended up meeting up with some long time friends and that distracted me for a bit. But the next morning when I woke up, reality hit me. I think I woke up with a couple of tears.

So proud of Yuzuru for fighting through and improvising his layout like a boss! That 4T-1Lo-3S was amazing. I literally shrieked at my screen
