Edit to add: wow, they updated from yesterday when shoma, med and anna were not on it. Maybe they save him to last, heighten the drama.
seriously though, going through the cast list of FaOI, every time I end up calculating how much a ticket would be if I add the cost for flight and accommodation  the final verdict would probably still be "worth it!".... that list is already ridiculous even without Yuzu

Hi everyone, I am finally discharged from hospital today. Finally I have wifi! :drama:
Can you image they don't give patients wifi at National Hospital? :laugh2: Yes it makes sense, we are there to rest after all. But it's hella boring.

Thank you so much for all the updates. I hope you guys will have a good season off.

Personally I don't count WTT as a competition, just a big gala to me. So I pretty much don't count the seriousness of it. Nevertheless, it's great to see Yuzuru having fun with all the skaters. :luv17:

I am glad you guys are having fun too. As this might be the first FS season for many of you.

The ice shows will start soon. I think Yuzuru will do several ice shows this summer. He will use this opportunity to get used to his new programs (and new layouts) I think.

I guess Yuzuru will be back to Canada soon to get choreography. In fact, I only hope for that news.

So good to have you back, Meoima! :ghug:

I hope you feel much better now and I wish you a speedy full recovery.

And thank you for the uplifting, positive messages you sent us last week. It helped a lot :)

I don't know how much shows Yuzu will do this summer but I can't wait for the news (but before that I hope he can have a little bit of rest now).

Maybe we should mail this list of achivements to the guys from TSL and shut them forever!

Anyway amazing, wonderful and unbeliveble season for Yuzu!!! We love him:love: and we are so proud to be his fans!!!
:thank: I'm so gratefull to be alive in his time!!!

:agree: and send this to everyone who wanted to write him off. And personally to Mishin and Morozov.

Someone asked at some point for a translation of Yuzuru's message to Mao on the banner Team Japan had at WTT. Not sure if it's been posted yet but yuzusorbet on Tumblr translated his message here.

It will take me 3-6 months for full recovery but at least it's not too serious now.
Reading the thread now, I have to keep myself from laughing too much or those screws might break my bones :laugh2:

I am glad you guys are having fun. I have just checked FaOi shows, they will only have 3 cities and 3 show each city. So total just 9 shows. If Yuzuru agrees to do Dream on ice then it's 12 shows maximum. It's ok for off season. And he can make use of these ice shows to train his new programs too.

Yuzuru has been through this before, I do think he will use his time smartly.

Oh by the way, while I was in the hospital, I find my eyelashes on the pillow everyday. In my country every time we drop an eyelash, we make a wish and hope it will come true. I wished to see Yuzuru's 4lz and it happened. I also made a wish to see his 4A one day.

welcome back - we missed you a lot!

Thank you for sharing, I was looking forward to the translation!

He will not include 4Lz in his Olympic programs, but it's one of the first things he wants to improve during the off-season .

And LOL the discussion of the 4A if he has already landed it.
Some people told me Yuzuru landed 4A at CC even 1 month before Max Ambesi said that to the media. But I didn't take that seriously. I will believe it when I see it.

That's why I made a wish with my eyelash that we will see Yuzuru landing 4A one day.

I hope your wish will come true some day and Yuzuru will add 4A to his amazing achievements.

100% agree

WTT team gold was the cherry on top of the cake. I didn't believe my eyes at first when I saw the results table. Team Japan is just awesome! :clapper: And such a good start for Olympic season!

Yes, it was a roller coaster ride, as I guess it always had been. But these deep emotions he awakens in his fans are the reason why we love him so much.

Yesss this exactly... I think his "struggle" is what makes us felt even more estatic once he gains that success.

Another thing, I never cried watching a FS program ever since 2003 (not once, not even Lipniskaya's "Schindler's List" at Sochi). But H&L world... Man, I legit cried lol. I guess it's because I also relate to his fight and determination to deliver the best

Even if for Yuzu this season felt like a struggle he achieved so much and I'm glad the season ended on a high! It feels like this chapter came to a satisfying close ready for a new chapter of more achievements to begin. Even when struggling with the psychological pressure he's had this season, and struggles to meet his own expectations, he's still managed to achieve a lot and he faced a horrible injury but healed and used it as an opportunity to learn how to take better care of his body and become stronger. He seems energised and motivated for next season, I hope he can hold onto that joy for skating, it seemed at points this year he really wasn't enjoying himself.
I look forward to seeing how he will put everything he's learned over the years, and this season, together into new programs!

Meoima im glad you are okay from surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery ^^ it's nice to see you back.

no use in having a fancy tie if ur suit doesn't fit:palmf:

eta: has he ever had a suit that fits him even reasonably well? tried to find a picture and studggled greatly

None :( There is only Photoshop. For example here and here.

Idk how much money he got from commercials but I assume it must be huge. I stanned Korean idols before and I know their local commercials fees are in the range of a couple of million dollars. In the kpop community, it's a pretty famous general knowledge that Japan pays around 3 times more than in Korea. So I think for Yuzu to be fancy for his clothes is supposed to be easy? Especially considering his super high end taste of earphones ^ ^

The figures I've seen are he makes around $800k for each CM and $200k/year from the JSF for using his image in promotional materials and for doing press events for them. Then there are also the amounts he receives from ANA for living expenses, coaching in Canada, travel expenses, equipment upkeep etc and from doing ice shows as a headliner. I'm guessing all that adds up to at least $4-$5 mio a year.

And he is pretty fancy in his daily clothes!

Diesel jacket

Yes, he wears nice casual clothes that fit him well. Even his t-shirts are pricey (in the $100 range). He wears brands like Diesel and Ralph Lauren. It's just his suit jackets. :tantrum: The suit pants are ok but I think English or Italian cut will suit him better than American cut because of his slim build and long legs.

I would love to watch him live. The Olympics will be far too expensive for me but I'm hoping I could go to the World's 2018 in Italy because that's a lot closer to me. This leads me to my question: what are the odds of Yuzu attending Worlds 2018? Someone told me that skaters may take time off some competitions right after the Olympics because it's draining. But Worlds is one of the more important events so I'm really hoping he'd come because that's the best chance I'll get at seeing him in my life. Do you think he'll come to Worlds 2018? The Olympic is from 9-25 of February and Worlds is from 19-26 of March. Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question because I'm new to the fandom and I don't know how these events work.

I believe that Yuzuru will go to Worlds in Milan & I intend to go too. (I also believe that he'll continue at least through the 2018-2019 season.) Another possibility for you to see him in person (which I totally recommend) would be to go to another competition he enters next season. I'm hoping he'll do Autumn Classic & also Skate Canada. Although it would require your traveling to Canada, the ticket prices & probably the hotel prices are less than Milan, so the expense might be equal or less. Autumn Classic doesn't have a gala, but Skate Canada does & lets fans watch the gala practice, which is really fun. (& I totally recommend going to the practices. You can sit close and watch him for 20-40 minutes during them.) Or it's possible he'll do Finlandia, Trophee de France or Skate America.

Although, be aware that if you see him, you'll want to see him more, so you might go to one of those earlier competitions & still need to save up for Milan!

Confirmed, seeing him live is highly addictive, especially practices . I will try go to Milan or any competition in Europe if he attends.
