I listened to CBC commentary of Yuzu's LP and Kurt was pretty much gushing over him as always, they even called him " a legend" why are you guys so sensitive I don't get , sorry

Re B ESP guys: if someone is puzzled why they seem to be less complimentary and seems like they jumped to someone else's boat this season, this is why: one of them is giving lessons in Chicago at Ouriashev's .. now you get?
This is a sport where 90 % is biased and have personal reasons behind the words they say, there are very few unbiased "experts" in this sport .. you have to deal with it. Every sport is like that. You have to learn to be insensitive .. and not care about every word...

Some people can not take that actually most commentators and reporters already know of that cheated technique. Even Philip Hersh ;)

Even Morozombie, someone who loves blindly his favourite regardless of the technique has said this :devil::
The tech panels and the judges have been merciful this season, but it'll be interesting to see if they do anything about it in the future.

He wrote something nice about Yuzuru here (and frankly I think he is not Yuzuru's fans as he is saying, he is just liking Yuzuru if the performances are good or the choreography suits his taste (sounds like BoP lol)
Yuzuru Hanyu placed first overall with a total of 321.59 points to win his second world title in the most emphatic fashion, taking the podium by a storm by skating a phenomenal, world record-breaking long program after an inglorious fifth-place short program finish. I'm already waxed lyrical about the spellbinding experience of watching that performance live--click here for a refresher--so let's speak about the short program at Worlds. Despite the major loss of points due to the combination jump being invalidated because of the weight transfer between the salchow and the toe, I must say that Let's Go Crazy is also such a great, crowd-pleasing program to watch live. Look past the rather ludicrous purple-tinted costume and it's so easy to feel your jaw drop as Mr. Hanyu blazes through a series of ridiculously difficult transitions straight into a giant triple axel right in front of you. Ditto with how Mr. Hanyu throws himself into the step sequence with great speed and wild abandon before whipping the crowd into a frenzy with that slide towards the judges. All in all, a fantastic performance that did not let the mistake on the combination detract from the program.

Kurt Browing who? The guy who barely keeps up with the sport? He's a legend but so? I was an admin of a music forum and I barely keep up with it and now I know nothing about the members there. ;) I should be very careful whenever I comment on some new classical artists.

;) I don't even care about B ESP guys, the kind of commentators who keep throwing "greatest everrrr" to almost every top skaters lmao. By the way one of them was ice dancer from ancient time ago. :laugh2: You think ice dancers are supposed to be knowledgeable about jumps? :sarcasm:

When my English comprehension was still weak, I thought they knew A LOT about skating. Now after doing my research for a long time, I think I could give them some lesson. :laugh2:

I wouldn't use the troll word; if you look at users' post history you can clearly see posters are sincere fans. If I stay around long enough I'm sure I'll see otherwise, but I don't think that's happening now. Part of being a fan is having strong emotions, whether that's being sensitive, nervous, or greedy to see our favorite praised more. I think it's natural and okay.

;) darling, I have been here in this forum ever since 2010 and I lost my old nick. I have seen all kinds of fans come and go and be banned. I have to say, with a big fandom like this, it is better to have LESS idiots around. :p

If you truly love some skater, you have your ways. My way is to do my own research. I study and count every move, transitions, turn and jump... and DO NOT LET any commentator or coach/judge/specialist's bias affect me.

I am just fed up with people saying: "Why this commentator is saying this?" Are these commentators GODS? NO. :laugh2:

Do they know a lot about skaters and skating itself? Well most of the time, no. :laugh:

Why don't you do research by yourself and understand things on your own. You might be better than those so-called experts. Especially when you can COUNT. You know, skating has a lot to do with counting... :biggrin:

He's so sweet to acknowledge and go near the fans!!!! He is really treated like an idol in Japan ^ ^ and people somehow still wondered why he got to skate last and perform an encore smh

I assume this is after his FS? Bc well he still hasn't signed his jacket yet. I really wonder where that signed jacket went ... His signature was just beautiful there > <

Wow. A point which I'm not sure has been mentioned before but which this clip makes obvious-Shoma has bad alignment in his jumps. The judges can be forgiving with shoddily landed jumps but physics is not forgiving. You can see he lands with a twisted torso and needs to wrench himself into place. That sweeping movement with his right arm when he lands is a balance check. If that's a habit that means he generally lands unbalanced. If he doesn't fix that with all the quads he jumps, he may end up injuring his back and/or his hips. Nathan doesnt have great alignment either but not as bad as Shoma. He doesn't quite get his foot under his centre of gravity so needs to use his free leg swinging from his hip to get back into balance. He should fix that as well or else he'll injure his hip again.

Shoma looks desperately for his senpai, he was charged with a critical mission.
He finally finds him, lip syncing absentmindedly while looking at the ceiling. He didn't like to bother him when Yuzuru seemed to be in his own world, but this was a matter of utmost importance.
"Yuzu-kun, i finally found you" says Shoma standing right in front of him. Yuzuru takes one of his headphones off. "Is something wrong?" He asks, confused by Shoma's unsure expression.
"There is a situation you must resolve, and it's really important for the team that you take care of it" Shoma sighs. Yuzuru blinks twice, clueless. "What is it?"
A small smile flashes through Shoma's face.
"Medvedeva-senshu is having problems with her hairdo"
Yuzuru stops the song he was listening to, and follows his teammate. "Let's do this"

OT, but I've just noticed this thread has grown by 1000 pages in just a little over two months. And I wonder why I can never keep up. :laugh: Scary to think what happens with it during the Olympic season... :eek: And ETA, congrats folks, you have been productive. ;)
