But you think it's been twisted, I for example do not.
I know that my feeling about this article was completely different when I read about it on (western) social media and on this morning, than when I read the translation. From what I had read on social media, Akiko had betrayed Yuzuru with an offensive article in the sole and only purpose to push Shoma. Well, that's not the impression I got when I read the translation of the article.
People are quick to jump on every person who's not completely in awe of Yuzu, and falling in a "if you're not with us, you're against us" rhetoric.
But then, as was argued before, perhaps the translation is bad ? But then I would need to know where this translation is wrong or biased, and then perhaps I'd change my mind.
Also I don't see the problem with Japanese fans expressing their dissatisfaction with this type of politicking, even if you think they are all wrong, and you're right.
Have I said that I thought I was right and they were wrong ??? Thanks for twisting my words
I said that people should make their own opinion by reading the article itself, not what people said about it.
I need facts to have an opinion about something. I don't understand japanese well enough to judge what's going on japanese social media...
And as a matter of fact, I suspect that "japanese fans" is in fact not a homogeneous group of people who have all the same opinion... so excuse me if I take you're "but the japanese fans said it was bad !!!" with a grain of salt - as far as I know, there could be as many much more moderate fans trying to calm things down right now.
The fact is, even right now, debating in english on this forum, you've misinterpreted several things I was trying to say (could be because it was lost in translation, english is not my native language). Communication on social media is a very tricky thing where things can blow out of proportions based only on alternative or caricatured facts. It's very black and white. While the truth is generally in all shades of grey.
And yes, I do read it as Nagoya's agenda. I mean I am sure Kozuka also has "misplaced worry" right? It's just a coincidence Nagoya skaters are saying this. But we will agree to disagree.
I'll be able to have an opinion about what Kozuka said once I've read the quote in its context. It seems totally absurd and silly, tbh.
And, to be clear, I don't say that politicking doesn't exist. Of course it does.
But in this particular case I don't see it.
