Or he could make it even easier and ask Shomita who is always looking sharp. Every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man! I notice they do a better job with Yuzu's suits for his commercials. Anybody have any pics of him in a suit that looks good on him? Here are a few I see:

I love this color combination.

On April 1, 2017, Yuzu performed a flawless dazzling free program for a new world record of 223.20 – making history once again!

(As we all know :coffee:)

I became a fan of Yuzu after watching Boston Requiem, so H&L has always been special, a perfect continuation of Requiem to me in many senses. At Worlds, Yuzu presented a transcendent, emotional performance… effortlessly built upon the foundation of a program of extreme beauty and complexity, and exquisite technique in all aspects—jumps, spins, skating :luv17:

I’ve been busy working on a special project since WC’s been over (and making Yata be pigeon for me), together with some very talented, very extra Hanyu fans’ from all over…

So here’s "Hope & Legacy” again––with annotated steps and turns in real-time + full performance analysis by Yulia, a blogger and a huge Yuzuru Hanyu fan. Ladies and gentlemen, Yuzu Hanyu!

(And here's link to Niconico version for Japanese fans)

When your season starts with two months off ice due to injury, followed by playing catch up with everyone else, and ends with a landed, first ever ratified 4Lo in competition; 4th consecutive GPF title; 2nd world title; a new world record in free skate (11th you've had overall); two YOLO layouts that brought two new firsts, 3 quads in the 2nd half and a 4T-Lo-3S combo; peaking at the right time; and you being healthy... then I guess we might say you haven't had a bad season after all :hap10:

Here’s to another amazing season together with Yuzu and you all! :yahoo:

This is a masterpiece, thank you so much for all the hard work! As someone who's still learning about steps and turns, this video is extremely valuable!

Going by this video, Yuzuru's TES should've been 132.13 (that is keeping the 1.4 GOE the judges give for his chsq), and even if we keep the 97.08 PCS he got (which I think is underscored), his total FS score would've been 229.21.

That's 6.01 points difference. If we we combine it with his SP scores (which I think is a little underscored and judged too strictly as well when compared to some other skaters), his total combined score would've been 327.6. That would've been the second highest and much closer to his WR. I really hope Yuzuru will get judged more fairly next season. He is the reigning Olympic champion, GPF and World champion after all.

Haha, i need to update my collection, there's a lot of pics i haven't uploaded...
I didn't repent tbh. We just moved the invisible mode to another place where no one can find it :) but at least you weren't scared off by it haha

I've posted these before but they are no less beautiful because of that imo
ETA: My post #2000... Talking about not repenting and posting Yuzu legs... errr...:slink:

What? It exists?? Where??? There's no way I would be scared off, Yuzuru's physique is... truly something to behold.

I made a summary of success rates of Yuzuru's quad and triple jumps between 2010/2011 and 2016/2017 seasons. I already forgot which poster said some 50+ pages ago that it would be interesting to know these rates --> please send me a PM and I can share the link of the spreadsheet.

+ xeyra, maybe I'll make a comparison with other skaters too, at least compared to this season, but it would take a bit more time.

If we look at the success rates, the most successful of all the fully rotated, landed jumps (apart from GOE) is the triple flip (who would have thought?) which has a rate of 96% But it is misleading, because of lipping the rate is only 57% with +GOE.
3F is very closely followed by the beloved triple axel with a rate of 95%. If consider the number of executed jumps too, 3A is by far his strongest one, as he jumped it at competitions 130 times, from which 123 was fully rotated and landed (115 with +GOE)

According to fan made charts, 通信 and Memorial are agreed to have the best quality and focus most on Yuzuru. I've also seen a lot of recommendations for Figure Skaters and Sportiva. Google translating the ratings on their Amazon Japan pages gives a lot of info on individual magazines since it's mostly Yuzuru's fans buying them! :)

Awesome, I appreciate it... aaaaaand now I'm up to 7 magazines I want to buy! Well, I went all the way from the Midwest to Helsinki to see him skate, I don't know why I should stop at buying 7 magazines from Amazon, that's just a drop in the bucket. Plus, even if he doesn't directly profit from the sales it surely contributes to his marketability and prestige, and I'm happy to help with that! :hap10:

I'm bringing here a jump/score analysis from Tumblr of the 2015/2016 season from the Top Men, for some historical data and example of what comparisons can show. Even though I'm not the most mathematically inclined person, I do love statistics.

Words of other people DO influence our perception, actually it's a great self-deception to think our opinions are totally independent . You may find at Youtube videos of social experiments on that matter, for example Asch conformity experiment.

When trustworthy professionals keep telling "This skater is great at PCS" (even though he's not really that great) or "That skater's LP was lacking emotions" (even though it's not true), sooner or later it will become common opinion that yes, no doubt, this skater is great at PCS and that skater has problems with expressing emotions. :sarcasm:

It's actually words that made this world. I do think every comment has some influence here and there and we may better fight back with the truth and Ignorance is impossible no matter how hard some ppl emphasize it. It's just won't work.ppl have been arguing since the beginning of the universe lol

Thanks, it's very good, I also love things like this. Just for fun

Now I calculated this: out of 586 jumps Yuzu got only 4 DGs (1Lo<< included :laugh2:) and 14 URs, which is an another world record, that's for sure!

Can you list some examples of the DGs and URs? I want to watch replays. How many of them were falls too?

There's that lovely 3A-1Lo<-2/3S from both Worlds 2016 and GPF 2016, I believe. How can one underrotate a half loop! If anyone can, it's Yuzuru Hanyu!

Did you just hear that noise? That whining cry? That was my wallet, begging for mercy as it suffered death by magazine order :palmf: (I'll just file this one under "money I had saved by not going to Marseille so why not finally get rid of it now")

Speaking of magazine, does anyone know where I can buy this one?

Cz the sample pictures are just...
These are the pics from that magazine (I think I scanned all of them)

BTW, I saw someone mention on Twitter that Stephane Lambiel wants Yuzu to go on Ice Legends, his show. Not sure if it's this year or an open invitation for whenever.

Edit: Some Google Fu tells me Ice Legends has actually been postponed this year, due to financial difficulties.

Thank you so much! Yuzuru's fans are the most talented! I don't have enough words to explain how amazing this is (and especially to someone like me who only starts to learn basics about technical elements)

I shared this video (even if figure skating is not popular at all in my country! )

DG: The only downgraded jump with a fall was 4Lo in the FS Skate Canada, the others were Japanese Nats 2010 2S<<, the other 4Lo at SC and the 1Lo at GPF ()

URs with a fall: 2012 CoC FS 3A-3T<, 2012 Finlandia SP 4T<, 2012 GPF SP 3Lz-3T<, 2013 Worlds SP 4T<, or his 4Ts (2015 ACI both SP and FS, 2016 ACI FS), and his only underrotated 3A from which he fell was in his FS at Japanese Nats 2015.

Sacrilege!!!!

Also the 1lo at GPF was downgraded, not underrotated? OMG. :palmf:

End of 2018 I think.

And believe me, I'm praying Yuzu will accept. Then Stephane can have all my money :p
