Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

I have been living in US only for two years now and I spend a lot of time on the ice rinks so basically everyone around me is knowledgable about FS. However, when I talk to outsiders I find them completely unaware of the FS world. During OG I happened to talk to one American and one half Japanese/half American ladies and these are what they said.

American lady: "What the hell does ice dance mean? You call it a sport? Well, then why don't we have dance in summer olympics? There is a reason for that you know, because it's not a sport."

Half Japanese: "Oh, my heart broke that Nathan lost his gold medal. He was the top figure skater all the way but had a bad day just in olympics."

Me: :palmf:

Saw this on my feeds when was this?
I wonder how much body fat does yuzu have lol

Read somewhere that during competitive season is around 5%, and when he does shows it goes down to 4% because he can´t keep up with his diet... does his mom goes with him to shows tour?

https://youtu.be/8eo9T80eRSU Some new and some different angles of the EX practice at the Olympics that I hadn't seen before! Thanks to the uploader (who also filmed this).
More Yuzu/Boyang, and Yuzu/Eric etc interaction. :ghug:
Looks like he is having a friendly conversation with Tessa :)

Reading there was a earthquake in Japan, hope everyone is safe

Thank you! It happened around 1:30 am in Shimane prefecture (western region) so I did't feel anything, but it was a big earthquake and still they are getting aftershocks. I am relieved there was no tsunami. I hope other posters/members are fine

Glad you are ok. Hopefully no major damage and injures are reported. Hope all the Japan posters can confirm they are ok...

I'm looking forward to the parade so much that I'm looking up the weather forecast for the 22nd... hoping for a perfect day for everyone to enjoy out-doors.

I've never seen it before. To do this, they'd have to send someone to the show, have them buy as much as possible and then ship it. Since the show isn't selling anything other than at the venue as far as I know.

Considering this, do you think they are gonna put a limit in the number of items a person can buy?

Yes, I was about to write this, a person can buy only 5 per item. So the company posted above has to send some people for three days to line up at the venue while they don't know how many they are able to get. Looking at their HP, they have been working for the other events so far and I wonder if they will work well this time...(apparently, this is not the official way).

Keychains are so nice  I have been to many concerts before but never been interested in this kind, but I really want this :luv17:

So Yomiuri photo exhibit starts tomorrow in Tokyo (I'm planning to go when it comes to Yokohama in August, hope I can buy keychains ), CiONTU starts on Friday, the parade is on the 22nd. In this month, I'm expecting he will also appear in the garden party of imperial palace and some kind of award ceremony. I'm very excited but worried about Hanyu fans' wallets :drama:

What surprises me is Yuzuru seems to have been watching these little clips in Canada. I can't help but think he is seeing the videos uploaded by his fans

Maybe his family saw it, and since it was Akiko they told him, it was really funny, and I still not over her reaction

Video with sub: Akiko explaining Yuzuru´s entries to jumps

Yuzuru explain to Akiko and other presenters his Camel Spin (Akiko´s reaction to knowing Yuzuru saw her video is really cute). Also with subs.

Credit to owner and translator. Thank you...

Wow, I had no idea that those were such difficult entrances! I'm still fairly new to the sport so I'm unable to see/grasp more of the minute elements in a program, so this was very interesting. Especially the camel spin, that was very cool!

How much does it cost a subscription? Maybe some subscriptor that aren´t big fan would chose to sell/ give away?
