Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

Skate Canada 2016 gala practice was the debut! I have a fancam of it (https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5068wx around 13:59, he took off his jacket right as he was out of sight from my seat). Thinking back it’s pretty rare to see footage of Yuzu practicing in costume. At the time I figured he did it because it was his first time doing the program since he didn’t do any summer shows.

From what I remember the moment he took off his jacket there was a hush of excitement. The costume is really pretty and sparkly, but he was fidgeting with the sleeves nearly the entire time during that practice session. It was a beautiful practice run-through though, one of my favorites for this program since it was a ton of audience in the practice session so it felt really intimate.

The Notte Stellata and H&L costumes are two of his most beautiful 'only Yuzu could wear it' outfits... my favourites along with Etude and last year's Seimei (please don't ask me in which order)

I think he only fell on the openning 4T. Maybe 2-footed on one of the latter jump? But that's it. I may remember wrong though. Read different reports at the same time.

It seems every fan agrees on the quality of 4T3T, they say it was super clean and beautiful.
