Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

I know many of us aren't fans of recycled programs, but I would love to see Yuzuru challenging LGC again in the future.

LGC with 4A in ice shows  (but the rink is going to be too small for that)

I remember he was talking about jumping 4A in ice shows after retiring (if I'm not wrong, I have short memories recently), but his interviews these days make me think he might actually try it in the competition after 2018 if he is healthy.

Quoting the article, "And what follows is joy for the senses – with Yuzuru skating as if he were a beautiful haze in the forest, a breeze between the leaves. And even if one doesn’t know the story of the program, he’ll still perceive the lightness of it, the softness, the continuum." A man gliding on the ice with music playing can give you this kind of feeling, how magical is that?

Totally agree, I feel like LGC have unfinished business.

I love that part that talks about how it feels like nature as well. At the beginning of the season, some of the facial expressions from Yuzu was a bit over, and finally everything is in the right place at Worlds, the right amount of everything, jumps, facial expressions, body language, transition... it does look like breeze between the leaves ;)

It was confirmed in 24hrs TV preview that Yuzuru and Go would perform "Ienaiyo" tonight.

(A little bit funny because the theme of 24hrs TV this year is "confession" but they performed this song "Ienaiyo" means "I can't tell you")

Yuzu's part has just finished. It was a beautiful performance. Going to watch it again as soon as it gets uploaded. :luv17:

The singer was... ehh.. I will shut up... I don't want to say anything about the singer. Never mind.

At least Hanyu did well considering he is at 20% right now.

The whole segment of Yuzuru :sad4:

He is a beautiful skater, but also a beautiful human being.

Both of his 3A and 4T looks effortless
That's so nice that he wanted to pass on the encouragement to the next generation of skater, he is indeed a person worthy of a lot of respect. :agree:

I think full translation of 24hr TV might exist already, but it was revealed in the narration that Yuzuru had asthma attack two weeks before the Worlds this year. He talked about asthma on TV for the first time, he said it was difficult to breath sometimes (also it hurt) but it was natural for him to have asthma, so he had never thought it was tough to continue doing figure skating. He said to Sora, "We've been having different experiences from others', but is it natural for us, isn't it? So we don't need to compare ourselves to other people. If we think it is natural, we just keep doing our best to overcome it." After the performance, Yuzuru said he wanted to do difficult elements in front of Sora because it would give him good image for his training. Sora said he wanted to be a skater like Yuzuru who kept challenging difficult things, and Yuzuru said, "Two more ratations, then it's a quad. Only two more ratations, only two more rotations.":laugh2:

What a lovely performance (even Hiromi Go's vocals were slightly better than last time)!

I also love that Sora basically said the jumps were much more difficult than 3 years ago . They were pretty on-point though!

Did Sora skate something as well for the show? He was wearing what looked like a costume and then later he was wearing his under armor shirt again during Ienai Yo.

I'm wondering if it was cut because of the timing of marathon runner announcement (it was totally a mess IMO). I hope we're going to have unseen scenes in somewhere like "every" tomorrow.
