Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

Aww... so cute. I really am a fan of their friendship off ice. Was this after the LP?

Solution just found right here:

The conversation took place during the free skate draw.
Javi probably smiled about Yuzu's +2.80 GOE for the tano-4T+3T

By the way: I didn't really notice how many successful and magnificent jumps Yuzu landed that day (Warm-Up+SP). Impressive!
He could have saved half of them for the free though

Wait, does this mean on the 18th there'll be a segment on a show with Yuzu commenting on LGC?

This show featured Prince and was aired last night, and it will be aired on 18th again. It seems Yuzuru's part was only the scene in the tweet.

practice low season/practice high season (per week, hours) from ISU bio.

Yuzu (14/14)
Shoma (30/30)
Boyang (24/24)
Javier (22/20)
Patrick (17/17)
Nathan (30/23)

I know every skater has their own way, but it still amazes me that Yuzuru concentrates on short time

Yeah, I was really surprised only Patrick has similar low practice hours. Javi and Boyang also have relatively low hours, comparatively. This reminds me of Boyang and Patrick mentioning in interviews about concentrating on less hours but higher quality practices. And do these include only on ice practice? Lots of off-ice practice must be done as well, but that may not be included here.

Yes, I wonder if this includes off-ice training? Maybe some of the skaters include it in their hours and some don't.

This is really interesting! I have to say I'm glad he doesn't train insane hours, because with how intense he is (as stated by both Tracy and Brian) he would probably injure himself if he did. Also, this probably doesn't take into account off-ice training? idk!

I guess Yuzuru's practice time doesn't include off-ice training, but at the same time, I won't be surprised if Shoma's practice time doesn't include off-ice training either  I remember Yuzuru said Shoma practiced very hard (I think he meant about the length of the practice) and he couldn't do it like him. I have no idea about other skaters but it is interesting Javier and Nathan reduce training time in high season.

In Nathan's case, it's very likely due to him being a student and having to keep up with school during the high season, which corresponds to the academic season too. Though I'm not sure if he's graduated high school yet?

Speaking of Yuzu, I'm not sure he kept to the 14h a week in the 2015 season because there was a recent translation about how he kept practicing at high hours of the night after losing to Patrick at SC. :hpull:

OMG, Shoma's and Nathan's hours  if that's only on ice training, they spend 6 hours on ice everyday (if they train for 5 days a week).
