"The number of the competition is limited before the Olympics. Each competition is important, but I want to do (4Lz) as many as I can (in the competition). I can hold it or throw it away anytime. "

He analyzes the reason for lack of concentration in ACI was due to watering down the layout because of the condition of his right knee.
"I can go all out (now), it's fun.", he said lively.

:)

Sorry for quoting my post, after reading other articles, I started wondering if the translation of bolded part may be not correct. The original sentence in Japanese is too simple and short in this article and I don't want to put my thought into the translation itself, so I took it back. I apologize.

I was just listening to Ambesi's podcast, and he remarked that Yuzu has never won a GP competition that wasn't the 6th - I can't remember if that's true or not, but I hope he's wrong

It's true. The only four GP events he has won were all the last before GPF (1×COR in 2011 and 3×NHK in 2012, 2015 and 2016).
2014 NHK was the last event, too, but he finished 4. (after the CoC crash.)

Well, it would be a good opportunity to end the negative series
(Though Patrick in the second event will be tough... we know how these duels ended in the last attempts... :palmf:)

Yuzuru says Brian is thinking about peaking, so he will do what he will be able to do. He doesn't feel like "he has to pace down in particular competition" because there is always high and low in peaking, he just needs to raise his minimum level higher. The layout of LP is hard, but free skating is hard one, it is sport and he is having fun.

I felt lighthearted when I see his smile and read his interview, he know what to aim for, accept that there are high and low, and enjoying skating. I feel so positive and sooooooo looking forward to see his performance :luv17:

I've been caught with work and my days haven't been great but seeing Yuzuru's 4Lz today truly made my day a bit better!! That edge, that height, that air position, that rotational speed *dreamy sigh*

Very happy to have Rostelecom Cup to look forward to this weekend!

Didn't notice that freaky pose

That's how you take off your gloves with style

Planned layouts from Nathan and Yuzu are published:

We finally came to that crucial point, where 3F or 3Lz are discriminated as the only solo jump with three rotations in your layout. :palmf:

The triples, sans the 3A, almost feel like the forgotten stepchildren in such programs, ain't that right?

And *lol* at that first pic. How do you find this stuff Henni? :laugh2:

I'm in love with his 4lz:love: I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWhQ6PGHZTY and it was so sweet how Brian encourages him after gettingit :luv17:

Tomorrow I'll work so I can't watch the short. I'll be dying to get some news ( and see the new costume) but , I hope it goes well. Not expecting a world record again but also not sad Yuzu please :hap10:

"Forgotten stepchildren" Priceless
I can hear Yuzu murmuring: "You! 3F! You can thank Zayak that I'm still jumping you!"

I think... I'm just logged in on Twitter at the right moment  #LuckyStrike

At last, we get footage of the mythical beautiful 4lz! We know he's landed them well before yet this is the actual first video revealed of a beautiful landing, I was starting to think the media were keeping it top-top secret and we may never see it. That height is insane, I hope he's able to land it in the free!

Anyone knows if Japan asahi TV will be showing this live or not? I noticed they've got the time slot tonight at exact the same time as the competition( if my calculation is correct). I know they probably won't show the first group though.

Skating order and timetable

I guess it is going to be aired like 10 minutes delayed, meaningless indeed but they do it sometimes to adjust CM and fluffs :disapp: I will watch it on both livestream and TV
