)Guys, I've just bought this book by Noriko Shirota, and it looks really interesting! (Actually I started reading it at the bookstore and ended up buying it)

I have to say I didn't know about her very much, but this book has a lot of her history including the relationships with Japanese skaters in the past. She was a skater competed in Ice Dance and Ladies' single, and she won Japanese Nationals in Ice Dance two times. From 1994 to 2006, she worked for JSF in the same position of Kobayashi's. Also she was a ISU referee and judge in the Worlds and the Olympics.
Some interesting information about Yuzuru.
・There were 3 options for choosing Yuzuru's training base in overseas, Toronto Cricket Club, Detroit Skating Club, and Colorado Springs.
Shirota picked these three and talked over with Yuzuru and his family, and decided to go to Toronto because it was the safest place in terms of dealing with asthma. Detroit might have been good since Yuka Sato was there, which would have made Yuzuru train easier with no language barrier, but if Yuzuru had asthma attacks, his family would have been in trouble without a car (they didn't have driver's license then). Colorado Springs was well known for the computer analysis of the jumps by the coach, Christy Krall, but the land was high altitude and not good for his health. Shirota was relieved that Yuzuru chose Toronto because she had also lived in Toronto before, so she could introduce her acquaintances to him.
・After Sochi Olympics, Shirota suggested to Yuzuru to take 1 year rest, but he said "No".
・When Shirota reads Brians' mails, she always gets ready because if the mail starts with "Mrs. Shirota", it means Yuzuru has been doing well, and if it starts with "Noriko", it means there is something happening to him.
・Shirota introduced Natalia Bestemianova and Igor Bobrin to Yuzuru and Nanami Abe in Okinawa (why Okinawa?:thinkShirota and the couple are good friends since she participated in the competition in Russia as an international judge for the first time.
・Shirota's husband is a doctor and sometimes he gives her the advise.
My thought; if Javier told Brian, "No, I don't want to practice with Yuzuru", then there was a little possibility that Yuzuru and Patrick would train together. (very little, but still :shocked![]()

Yude,
Why would Yuzuru be training with Patrick if Javier didnt agree? One of the other traning centers is where Patrick trains?

Simple logic + math to tell you why this data is wrong and bias: https://twitter.com/chiburahakkai/status/953890102735810560https://twitter.com/percyperthy/status/953759205931982848
The so-called Professor like a clown to make the audience laugh, with his ridiculous performance. When comparing yuzu's and uno's jumping height, is it not the average height of the same kind of jump?
The height of the statistics made by Russian experts, about all the men's quads, is the opposite of the report. Yuzu’s height is about 60 centimeters, and uno’s is about 50,his 4S is only 44 centimeters. Even without data, the game video can clearly reflect the height, the distance, etc.https://m.sports.ru/tribuna/blogs/ternovblogfk/1442944.html
The report was full of lies and prevarications. Supposing white were Black, you would be right. The behavior of UNO’s team is so impudicity that the audience is ashamed to see it.That it's disgusting.
Is it not to be sentenced to libel?

just like how he informed everyone, I can’t say anything, but *big smile* everything is going to be ok~Yude,
Why would Yuzuru be training with Patrick if Javier didnt agree? One of the other traning centers is where Patrick trains?
Chan would say no from the start. No way he would practice with Hanyu.Chan was also training with Christy Krall around 2011 or 2012, if I remember correctly.

Fernandez has benefited a lot from Hanyu so it all works out ok in the end.To be honest, that's what I thought. And I will not blame him if it was the case since it must be difficult to train with a main rival. I think Javier and Yuzuru are exceptional as Tracy once said.

Interesting. If both Patrick and Javier had said no, Yuzuru might have ended up with Rafael and train with Adam and Nathan. Since Rafael said he's Yuzu's fan, fan enough to get an autograph from Yuzu. lol
Also, wasnt Rafael Mao Asada's coach when she was training in US?
Mao did train with Rafael before.
Does anyone else remember hearing that training in Russia was also considered? I wonder if Shirota mentions that, or if that was just a myth? Perhaps that was more about working with Bestiminova and Borbin.

There are debates about the correct numbers in the Russian's blog but he used the same scale for everyone so in the end it's same measurement you get the idea. Hanyu is the top guy who is consistent medal with highest number in this.
Didn't Russia basically have a ban order on Russian coaches training foreign skaters prior to Sochi Olympics?
