Chapter 1~9 past interviews
Chapter 10 new interview
Afterword written by Yuzuru
Looks interestingarty:
I think he might skip the GP series if he needs 6 months, but I feel he will be recovered by Nationals, so maybe we'll see him at 4CC and Worlds?
My guess of his intention:
He is competing the sport having western origin. His Japanese predecessors had many challenges because of their physics, cultural difference of artistry and musicality etc. in the past. And he knows the history.
But finally he proved that he could win the Olympic by using a music from his origin.
That means a lot to him because they just appreciated his outstanding technique and performance in the sport, not how good he is in the western cultural context.
Though he has mastered the techniques and artistic skill in its frame of "figure skating", I think he feels a lot more confident of expressing his cultural background now.
I don't think his remark was political one, rather he just indicated the history of figure skating from a Japanese perspective. Plus, he said "自分の国の音楽や独特な文化を持つ曲が増えるきっかけになればと", so I think his wish is clear. He thinks it would be great if more music from various cultures could appear in the competition.
And thank you very much for translating these words from Yuzu' s interview!!!90% of the book is old material?

Well I secretly hope he recovers well and if possible that he’ll choose to attend 4CC and the GP since we North American West Coasters finally get some international competitions on our side of the world...
Last time he competed in a Washington I wasn’t following the sport yet and missed my chance. This time 4CC is in Anaheim which I can easily fly to or even do a road trip to. Even if he doesn’t go I’ll probably go since it’s so close (and I can go to Disneyland and Universal Studios).

Speaking of the trip, I saw you and Danibellerika on TV Tokyo! They showed you were crying and throwing the Pooh, and both of you looked very excited after FS (?). People at the studio were wowed at your long trip of 16 days (am I right?).
), and then I came back to Korea to close it out with the men's events. They cut me off when I was saying they Tokyo wasn't as cold as Seoul and Gangneung.

Mine was maybe 17 since I left the the USA on the 2nd and returned on the 19th. I get a little confused because of the time change and then gaining and losing days. I went to Hong Kong, Korea (for team events), Tokyo (where my friend took me to the Tokyo 2020 exhibit to see Yuzu's free skate costume and they reaired the team free on the huge screen in the mall area. I spotted myself constantly), and then I came back to Korea to close it out with the men's events.
I think these are the videos?:
