Thanks for the translation. I'm wondering whether it's because yuzu is too popular to go outside in Japan or he's just too busy, or both.

"I didn't really ask [Hanyu] for permission," Orser said. "I just threw it out there to get his reaction, and I didn't really get one. I'm sure if there was an issue, I would have heard about it by now."

Hi everyone!

I always just lurk around in here and other fan fests and sometimes give some thumbs ups, and I decided that my first post should be in the fan fest of my favorite skater, I kinda got into figure skating back in 2014 with the Sochi Olympics but I didn't actually became a fan until this year and oh boy, I had no idea how dramatic and exciting it could get until now XD

Welcome :hap10::hap10::hap10:!! This past season was too dramatic even for me. I couldn't handle this on the Reg. :laugh::laugh::laugh: It's nice to laugh now because I sure wasn't in October!! Complete roller coaster that I'm not sure I wanted or needed. I still feel like we need T-shirts. But you get all the kudos for managing!!

I wonder how the conversation went down and why Brian has to go all the way to Yuzu’s place. Judging from what he said, Boyang’s move was not the main topic there?
Somehow the idea of them having this convo at Yuzu’s place rather than at TCC office is funny to me. Maybe it’s the mental image of Brian taking his shoes off, saying “Ojama shimasu” (doubt he actually knows it lol) that makes it funny :laugh:

I don’t see the link to the article upthread so I’m going to post it here though it’s mainly about Jason and Boyang, just in case.

I think they probably wanted a sit down in a relaxed setting to talk about where they are and what Yuzu's future plans are. I have a feeling that Orser probably mentioned Evgenia possibly coming along with Boyang during this visit. Probably a way to lay everything out at once to make sure they're on the same page.

I think it is both, and I feel like he is also a type of person who likes doing the things at home considering of not going to Niagara falls while spending time in Toronto for 6 years. He said before he wanted to visit castles in Japan after he retired though :)

I've already said this before but now I really want to hear Yuzuru's comments about these coaching changes! The article also says Orser will come to Japan for ice shows, so he might work in FaOI again. I hope he and Yuzuru are able to find some time to talk privately if they need. I wonder if he told Yuzuru about Jason's move before the arrangement was completely made. I don't worry much about practice schedule at the rink since the team will look for the best way for each skater as Brian stated in the article.
 
I wish new season could just start already so no one has to speculate any more, and we get to see first handedly how the new team dynamic would work. Off season could be such a b**** :(
