Yes, it is she. Yuzuru has inspired some badminton players according to their interviews. It's great Japanese players are now getting stronger including male players.

No, he didn't, and his video was showed in the concert. I think he moved to Nagano after the award ceremony so he'll be able to participate in morning practice today before the show.

I don't know how to explain it but in his polite talks to press his voice is a bit soft to my ears but when he talks normally to other people his voice is so bright and clear. I guess her parents meant something on using hiragana and I also wonder what they did :biggrin: We don't always have to use kanji for naming, so hiragana name is common. About Yuzuru's voice and the way he talked in the video with Miho, yes, he sounded very 23 year old normal guy speaking with the same old aged person, which I also like :)

Good information, I used to think that all the names are always in kanji.

Not only in this video but whenever he talks to Shoma or Mura when they are waiting for medal ceremony he sounds like that. I wonder if it is a camera effect that softens his voice? :biggrin:
 
I rewatched Yuzuru's interview about his program(s) in the next season.

He used a word "new" like five times! "new program", "new determination", "new me", "new music". But the problem is we don't know if he meant it for both SP and LP :drama: I started feeling like we might have to wait till summer to know about the programs, even though it will be very very nice if we can know or see one of those in FaOI. I think he will come back to Japan in the end of August for 24 hours TV. Official announcement has not been made yet, but I'm almost sure he will appear in that program.
 
I can't tell you how great it is to see him with theses top athletes and also athletes his age! I feel like it's with them he is able to be most "himself"; even though they are from different discipline they have similar drive and determination, plus they are in similar situation, mentally, physically, and even just in the general sense. I feel he can be at ease with people who are able to understand the challenges he is facing and that makes me very happy!

Yes, I am afraid just like the past we won't find out programs until late into the summer. Usually he won't just announce the music, but we get a glimpse of the actual program too along with the announcement. Lots of media days scheduled at TCC this year I imagine. :laugh:

Japanese media (80 ppl last year), Korean media, US media, Canadian media, Chineses media, Russian Media... Maybe its going to be Media week, not media day? :laugh:

Totally support for Jazz and Big band music, I was re-watching Sing Sing Sing from Yuzu CCW, from Mao and from BOrser :laugh: I just love that type of music.
I remember Yuzu dance a bit with Deniss Vasiljevs's LP music (Sway with me) at NHK or COR (?)practice as well. :cool2: Seems like he like that type of music too~

About media day, do other skaters have one like Yuzuru's? Yuzuru's media day is a big event for Japanese media, TCC also admit it and they prepare many things for the journalists and photographers including their meals. I don't follow other skaters closely so I'm curious :)

Maybe Evgenia and Boyang will get one this year.

But Yuzuru didn’t always have a media day, right? I remember back when he was 17yo he got some special but he didn’t got a media day, did he?

Thank you, TCC is going to be busy then. I don't think he had so called "media day" as a big event when he trained in Japan, there was special day for the media to shoot or interview him though. I guess as Yuzuru got more attention, the day called "media day" was born in TCC.
