I'm watching Sasha's performance now, Kenji was commentating his elements as if it was a competition, "Great eagle.", "Flip jump, he landed." :laugh2:

The Requiem costumes had more frills at the beginning of the season, and then some of them went away when we saw it during competition Galas. So it might be the same with this one.
But if Yuzu wants to skate in pink frills, that's what he's going to do. :laugh:

Unfortunately I can't imagine this costume at international Exhibitions events. It's a just a little bit too much. Sorry. I know he's very stubborn when it comes to his designs but this one is... I can't handle those frills though I know they have to create an image of wings. I think he's a bit obsessed with the image of wings and that is what we see in his costumes again and again. I wonder if he'd ever been asked of what creature other than man he'd want to be. There's so much of a bird in him. And that slogan- Fly Yuzu. Fits.
Don't get me wrong. He's beautiful. I just can't handle the frills. I immediately imagine myself as a cat hunting a bird.:laugh:

He skated at the olympics in a boob skirt so I don't see why he wouldn't skate in this :laugh:. Not a fan of either one (frills just aren't my thing) but I've come to terms that, for me, liking his costumes is an exception and not the rule. I was hoping for a non-lyrical EX as that's pretty much all he's done this past quad, but oh well. The actual skating is nice. I'm sure it'll develop nicely over the season.

That one was an easy one to fix. This one is just :reye:
Also- the top would fit Medvedeva like a glove. I totally need her to ask Yuzu to give it to her... He's so kind after all...:dev3:

It's stunning and I do hope we see it and the lyrical program at international events. It absolutely suits him and the message of hope and new growth in a metaphorical spring. It was clearly made with skill and I adore it both in stillness and in motion. The sleeves are particularly gorgeous: they reminded me of veiltail koi.
 
One thing I wanted to emphasize was his speed was amazing :luv17:

I can see him skating this program in 24 hours TV, yes it is in August and summer, but who cares :confused2:

(maybe he cares a little :laugh:)
 
I must be the only one who loves the opening outfit the most! And he wears it best out of everyone; no I'm not biased...:biggrin:
 
1. Seriously, is Yuzu competing with Johny in wearing horrendous costumes? :palmf: I agree with Sorrento, his obsession with wings has grown too much.
2. On the positive side as soon as he started to skate I forgot the costume, his performance was sublime and that IB was from another world :luv17:

Perhaps this means that Yuzu will never be able to please all his fans at once with a costume. --Unless it's UA which everyone loves. ;)

This costume works for me. I'd tweak it here and there, but in motion it looks great to my eyes.
I'm getting my paints out. You know what that means! :laugh:

To be fair I like his competition costumes most of the times. Seimei was the ultimate costume for me, PW and RJ1 too. On the other hand, his exhibition costumes are a big NO for me. So, it can only show my taste, and husband's too. Although I had warned him but he was totally :shocked:

I liked the first one too, even if he looks 17 if a day in it :) But then I do like the cherry blossom one too, it would be awful on anyone else but Yuzu manages to mix ethereal and athletic in a way no one else can touch. I think it - like the program and music - will be tweaked and altered if it moves into a competition gala piece... but he simply ain't gonna cater to western/North American tastes unless he wants to, we should know that by now :clap:
