Does JPN have test skates like some of the other countries?

Nope. It's quite clear what everyone is doing during summer- they skate their competitive programs in the shows. No need for open skates like they do it in Russia.

So the fight for ticket of COR begins
Hope everyone who have a chance to fly to Moscow on vacations saved for November manage to buy enough tickets. It's just the beginning of ticket sale, the cream on milk. Best places disappeared in four minutes.
No surprise. To see the Double Olympic Champion - it can be the one and only chance in fan's life!
Hope I will keep the tradition of Winni-the-Pooh's raining on Megasport Ice Arena!:yahoo::yahoo:

Does JPN have test skates like some of the other countries? I know they do skate camps and stuff.

I don't think we have it, but honestly, I still don't get the picture of what the test skate is exactly. I asked about it long ago in the other thread but no one replied  Is it an event like the skates show the federation or judges their new programs and receive the evaluation and feedback by them? Or is it a competition?

what is your opinion about with whom Orser will go to the nut?
will Yuzuru's fan's be negative if Orser will go with Zhenya?

I think everyone expects Orser to go with her, considering the situation. Ghislain and Tracy perhaps will go with him. I don't really see anyone being negative about it.

Ideally, I would actually want Orser there. Hanyu is dodgy at that time of the season and especially this time around, having missed for two seasons in a row, there's going to be an added pressure. I'd certainly prefer Brian with him but at the same time, it is what it is.

Oh goodness, some of the Russian fans and media have been so horrible about Evgeniya training in Canada. She might need Brian as a bodyguard as much as a coach!

Not at all to underestimate Brian's all-around amazingness, but one of the documentaries showed how Yuzu couldn't even jump until only a few weeks before, and intensive training with Ghislain was what got him able to again. So if anything, if he can only have one of them, he might even choose Ghislain over Brian.

Further to the introduction of the +5 / -5 GOE, all statistics start from zero for the season 2018/19. All previous statistics are now historical.

Historical is Yuzu's middle name didn't you know.:cool::cool::cool:

In USA skater do their programs in front of judges and they get critics about what they are doing. Sometimes if a programs doesn´t get good feedback it will be scrapped or changed. I think that was the problem with Ashley´s Lalaland program...

Its not an issue who Brian goes with Nationals. The important thing is he trains them on their respective schedules.
But isn't it Yuzu is exempted for Japan Nationals? Or I misunderstood the "seeded" concept?

He is not exempt but he is seeded. This just means that he has a bye for sectional/regional competitions usually required to qualify for Nationals. Normally his Nationals placement the year year before would’ve had him as a seeded skater, but because he missed Nationals he would have normally had to go through the lower level competitions to qualify for Nationals. The JSF agreed to make him a seeded skater to bypass those requirements to compete at Nationals.

How many ice show broadcasts are left?

Heroes and Future + Rest of FaOI Shizuoka, right? Feel like I'm forgetting something...

Just for the sake of it... that talk in the other thread about world records reminded me of this video, of Yuzu reacting to his first eleven (eleven!) WRs...

And it could be updated with the ACI 2017. A nice even dozen before the reset for 2019... has anyone else ever broken that many?

Thank you for clearing my muddled mind ^^
So it seems he has a free pass to the Nationals.

Also
Yuzuru will appear on a special TBS program titled ‘This time, we recognise an exception’ on 18 Aug. Seems he’ll talk about why he appeared in the 2016 movie ‘The Magnificent Nine’ and his feelings towards the movie.

It's for the feedback, not a competition.

I cannot wait for Yuzu to announce his programs :drama: the waiting is killing me!

It's certainly doing dubious things to the fannish hove mind's state of mind.... problem is, he'll announce the programs and music and then we'll drive ourselves crazy trying to work out how the program will work, what he'll wear...
