Yuzuru Hanyu: 2019-2021

With a heading: "Yuzu SP run through featuring very loud clapping"

From my only experience from attending Yuzu's performances in person I remember so loud clapping during some parts of Origin that the music was completely drowned out. There was the moment I understood that he had to know every note by heart to make his skating possible at all. And it's one of the reasons I support his decision on taking back Chopin and Seimei.
But the main reason is I really miss both of the iconic programs of his and am immensely grateful I will be able to see them again.
Good luck Yuzuru and please enjoy your skating as much as we all do!

He did say before that he cannot actually hear the music through the audiences loud cheers, so he memorises the music in his body and listen to the cheers to fire him up.

Watching 4cc now and the swedish commentators just said that after Shoma Uno won over Yuzuru during the nationals this year, he became the fourth (after Nathan Chen, Javier Fernandez and Patrick Chan) person to beat Yuzuru during the last 5 years. If that's true that's honestly an amazing statistic.

In the post olympic season Yuzu had a rough year with the COC accident in which he lost to Maxim Kovtun and then was 4th at NHK that year, idk if they considered that season? Still he probably is the skater with the least number of people who have beaten him since Sochi.

I saw you Yuzu and I am SO happy that I could see you skating to Chopin once more. And him helping cleaning up the ice....Yuzu. Just...thank you! I feel so much better again ^^!

If CoC and NHK 2014 is the only time that someone else except those four have beaten him, and if they're counting years and not seasons then I guess that 5 years ago (Feb 2015) then the grand prix 2014 isn't included and then it's true?

I've been staying away from online things for a little while for mental well-being, but I'm just SOOOOO happy to have seen Yuzu's SP on TV. The new costume, the seamless flow, the perfection.
In this moment, I'm happy!

Yeah that's why I said I wasn't sure, it depended on whether they counted years or seasons.

Congratulations to Yuzu! It was incredible. And he looked happy with what how he performed. And was that a new WR?

Congrats to Yuzu! He just performed to perfection!
I will be honest - to me it was one of the best SPs he ever produced and I do feel he was underscored even though it was a WR. For a moment I think he was surprised too. I don’t now what else do judges expect him to do to give him all 5s on GOE. He really cannot do much more, he does transitions in and out, he hits every single musical note, he has perfect positions everywhere, he carries speed and flow - i just don’t get it.

But If Yuzu is Happy I am Happy with him! ❤️

Shoot fireworks out of his ears? It's one of those mysteries of life.

Honestly, when I noticed the judges were taking long time to score him, I was like "AGAIN!?", but I was relieved he received 48 PCS.
But most importantly, Yuzuru said he was satisfied with his performance and I am so happy for him. SEIMEI is going to be another challenge for him but I hope it will be new step, too :)

I would love to see his brand new program, but Chopin Ballade 1 and SEIMEI is just so good.
I like his new costume color and how light he jumps with the music. I like his new tweak in SP.
Let's see his costume on SEIMEI and what he can show us with 4-min-version.

Now that Yuzuru repeating Ballade and Seimei program is finally sinking on me, I somehow feel more pressured for him. Yes! the otonal and origin are recycled programs too but neither of the two have the same “history” as the Ballade and Seimei. Ballade and Seimei are both Yuzu’s
A-programs.

Page 111. Matches Yuzu's score.

The sp was ethereal. How he could contain his happiness in the K&C is beyond me.

I was there at the arena. Thank you Yuzu. The judges composition really stressed me out yet I'm happy he's (quite) happy with his new (underscored) world record.
