"Honestly, I had nothing but anxiety in the morning practice. I had much insecurity that I didn't want to get injured till the end. I had different nervousness than in competition. Perhaps the cause of mistakes were only from the feeling that I didn't want to be hurt, so I think there wasn't any problem in terms of skills. More than anything, it was very good for me to be able to finish FS being healthy without any injury, any pain, any severe injury."

Poor Yuzuru, he's been through the wars and back these last two years.... :console:
 
Shizuka is like one of us, "Our only wish for you is juts to be healthy!" (she said twice :laugh:)
 
It was a great interview, he talked a lot about studying for uni (many technical terms!), off day, game, music, 4A (he sounds like he has been very very straggling in the jump), his dream/goal etc.

This Haru Yo Koi was so soft. So light. --Also Yuzu went to far in the hydroblade. :laugh: -Had to do a creative save.

Whew, well, it's been a good NHK for Yuzu this year. Everyone, have you survived too?

--Here is an interesting interview published in the Numbers magazine, with Kiyozuka-san, the pianist for Haru yo koi, he talks about the process of collaborating with Yuzu for Fantasy on ice.

It was so funny. Everyone was waiting for the arigatou gozaimashita but the announcer just kept going on and on lol.
 
Overall it was a good competition for me as a Yuzuru's fan. He looked very pale to me on SP day, but after reading his comments, I think he must have been very nervous and under the pressure. Now he sounds like he is very fired up for GPF according to press con today. He repeatedly said he wanted to win GPF (no 4A, he can do 4Lz but can't tell us the plan), and that the most important for 3 consecutive competitions (NHK, GPF, JN) was to maintain good condition.

I hope he and his team will have safe trip. But before that, there will be banquet and Japanese skaters are going to be in NHK sport program tonight.

Haha, when I read his interviews, I hear his voice the same way he hears Kaneki's when reading the Tokyo Ghoul manga. :luv17:

And that suit at the banquet fits better than usual! I'm glad he seems to have figured out at a much younger age than I did that jackets with buttons above stomach-level are enemies of the tiny-waisted among us. :laugh:

I am still holding out (okay, imaginary) hope for him to skate to the Tokyo Ghoul music some time, I found an orchestral version of Unravel that would be to (err, coining a phrase) die for....

He needs to get them tailored specifically, he will NEVER find an off the rack to fit.

Only having stomach-level buttons really does help immensely, because the fit of the chest doesn't matter as much. If he can find his waist size or close, he can get away with it even if the chest measurement on the size chart is a few centimeters too small.

Fortunately, he seems to have better luck than I do finding that style. I actually found one that fit perfectly off the rack once. I wonder if my coworkers have noticed that I wear it to every single event that calls for one. :slink:
 
Oooooh, ToshI released a new album with Cruel Angel's Thesis and the FaOI versions of Masquerade and Crystal Memories on it!

BTW, my friend played the original version of Cruel Angel's Thesis for me a while back. No offense at all to the original singer, but as a Yuzu fan for 5 years and a visual kei fan for 15, it just.... doesn't quite sound right to me if it's not ToshI singing it. :laugh:

Maybe he will add the lutz. When ask about it, he was not definite. --This is a strategic decision, I think.

They asked Noto-san whether he noticed anything different about Yuzu's demeanour this NHK and he said he was less severe/intense this season compared to last season in practice. They saw him smiling a lot more ♥️
