I am happy to hear that Yuzuru is likely to compete next season. So far the news was making Friday 13 proud, but this is a welcome little respite. Good luck next season then, Yuzuru! Each single season more counts.

Now I have no idea what Yuzuru's plan is during off-season. SOI Hachinohe starts from April 3 but I am not sure if it will be held. He can come back home but it might be better not to travel this month. I was thinking that if he comes back to Japan in spring, he would be working in something related to Tokyo Olympics, but we don't even know the event will take place as planned sad4. Making new programs and training 4A in TCC can be the best option for now (but I am preparing myself to see Ballad and SEIMEI again next season )

I think we'll see two new ones - he made it pretty clear IMO that Chopin and Seimei were brought back last minute because he felt Otonal/Original weren't working and it was too late for new (he did consider the latter!)

I have quite a few pieces of music I dream of seeing Yuzu do (though I would lay good odds no one at all will guess what he does choose, him being Yuzu :luv17:) and I am hoping and wishing for a red and black costume. Both Origins were devastatingly gorgeous... but I can't get my mind's eye off Masquerade.

Honestly this was the first thing came to my mind when WC got cancelled because Fuji was supposed to air WC four days straight at prime time. It seems some fans made request of them to broadcast Yuzuru's special TV program which shows his performances in the past or his history itself, but I doubt if they will do that since it is not fair to the fans of other skaters. But I think it is possible that they will show the performances of Japanese skaters (including the skaters already retired) in WC in the past. Or they will just air movies or something, but I am pretty sure they are working hard right now for Thursday (and I am not sorry for them).

Zhenya posted on IG that the TCC is closed due to the quarantine. I hope Yuzu can find stuff to keep hinself busy since we know he dedicates himself full time to training when he is in Canada. But now he has no rink! Or maybe the skaters at the top level may get ice time or use another rink?

So Fuji decided to show no figure skating this week after all, they will broadcast news program, music program, and two movies. Shizuka Arakawa will perform in the news program, but I don't think we'll see Yuzuru.

CBC Canadian interview with Hanyu on being the world's best skater. Very emotional and well done commentaries in the documentary parts too. It's cute he counts Pooh as one of his coaches now. But most importantly, it is 10 min long - like rainwater for our current drought!
