Yuzuru Hanyu

Here's Yuzuru Hanyu's message, on the occasion of the first anniversary of GIFT at Tokyo Dome, therefore of the first public hearing of GIFT, the music piece offered to Yuzuru Hanyu by composer and conductor (and music director of GIFT) Satoshi Takebe as a surprise during the show; the background music is, of course, GIFT:

SONY Music is offering a short version of it on its Youtube channel:

He's trending in Australia. I know we are almost accustomed to Yuzu trending somewhere in the world (or multiple somewhere) pretty much every day, but my country normally would not notice any figure skating.
And from a reply, New Zealand as well!

So you watched both days live? :love2: And the second day from one of these luckiest seats by the platform??!! :bsplit:
Of course your viewpoint wasn't the same as the second day, but how was Day 1 in comparison?

As I said, I am extremely lucky this time.

My seat on the first day is on the long side west section, arena 8th row. It is more on the eye level with the ice, and you can see his feet very clearly. However, since it is on the 8th row my view is a bit blocked by those in front of me. The ice projection isn't as clear as when you sit in a higher place. Also, since it is on the long side, some programs like Gate of Living cannot be absorbed fully (you either choose to see him or the pulsating screen behind and cannot see both at the same time).

I took photos, I think you can see them for yourselves.

Oh wow what a great seat, and great photos! Thank you for sharing the joy with us.

Yes, great seat!! Must have been such a thrill when you realized how lucky you were! Thanks for sharing!

Lisa is a fabulous artist, she catches his ethereal and yet so human quality.

There is an absolute flood of art, as there are remembrances and messages and will wishes and everything. If Yuzu sees even a part of it, he must know how loved he is worldwide.
He did mention fanart a number of years ago, and I'm sure that he sees at least part of it, and that it warms his heart because he's very sensitive to people's love, and the Japanese way is said to be expressing love in actions rather than in words. Many fanartists have somehow learnt to draw or paint or else (I mean, improved their skills to the point of deserving the name of artists), out of love for him. It's symbiotic, in some way, and quite moving and healing.
