I'll have to see some of the early skates....Ivett Toth, Amy Lin and many others moved up quite a few spots!

Yes yes yes i was going to say, all the youngsters impressed me today, the two you mentioned, plus Elizabet who climbed from 14 place, Angelina, Yuna, Tyler... all did really well! Right up there among their personal bests right?

If there's any mistakes, let me know. I got home just as the FS was ending!

My reactions to the overall standings are
- Wow Alisa withdrew? I totally didn't mean to jinx it earlier when I asked yesterday what would happen for spots for the next year if a country qualified 2+ skaters to the FS and one of them withdrew.

- Nice job for Elisabet for pulling up in the standings. Kazakhstan has 14 JGP spots!

-Ivett Toth qualified 2 spots for Hungary for next year! Nice job!

- Tyler finally had a good World Juniors! If only Bradie had placed better.

Marin , Wakaba :). Really glad for both of them. I truly like them each in their own way.

Alisa :(, Angelina :(. I would have loved to see Alisa's FS for one more time, even if she did not win or medal. As for Angelina, it looks like she would have been 7th even without the fall, so actually it's not so horrible. Yet, I imagine she herself would feel much better if she had a clean FS skate in these Worlds. Then at least she could feel like she had done everything that was in her power.

I am also glad for Elizabet - great for her to manage to move up by so many places into the top five after the SP disaster.

Poor Maria. It's rare when you see someone looking so sad when they have won silver and gotten their season's best. In truth, it was not exactly her best skate. No any real mistakes, but some of the jumps just didn't look quite as stellar as usual.

Marin may be 14 yo, but she definitely has more maturity, poise and class than any 14yo I have ever seen. Congratulations!!!!

Congrats to Marin! I love her flirty attitude. She's like Mao 2.0.

But to be honest, not too sure if her jump technique will hold up for a long time. It's far from the best...

Overall may not be the most secure of jump techniques.. but such nice flow out of all the jumps and excellent posture, no?

Speaking of jump landing, posture, etc... Maria's landings (especially the triple-triple) are very Elena-esque. Not graceful. If improved, she'll give off a much more polished impression.
