Couldn’t comment during the rhythm dance cause I was watching the stream on my phone. Loved FB/S. I get that it was conventional but they skated it so well - so close together and with confidence. H/B were so cute and it definitely suits their personalities- however, given the way judges responded to Piper and Paul’s fun programmes in the past, it make not get the marks they are looking for. Hopefully I’m wrong. I actually liked both T/V and Green/Parson’s programmes. Latin is always a hard one to amaze with me, but I thought they both skated well even if the music isn’t too my taste. Green/Parsons have jelled so well in such a short space of time, I’m sure the programme will grow as the season progresses.

Hello everybody! (It's like I would post here 40 years ago for the last time.)

Laurence FB & Nicolai Sorensen - lovely green dress and lovely lift, latin nice, well prepared

Kaitlin H & Jean Luc B - surprisingly I like retro idea (I am courious what will Piper & Paul come with), they are good in it, BUT I would love to see much deeper edges

Natalie & Filip Taschlers - are always dancing, not just performing. Many ballroom latin movements there and it looks really well in their case. But low levels in steps are keeping them down.

Juulia T & Matthias V - nice dance and choreo

Do we have some MEDICAL ALERT BUTTON here?
Juulia Turkkila is getting thinner and thinner with every season. She even lost most of her muscle mass. Look at comparison from 2012 Worlds where she was 17 years old teen and compare it with how she looks today.

She looks like people suffering from anorexia. People with such diagnosis are not able to realise that something went wrong, they feel perfect and beautiful...they need other people to help them and take them to eating disorder specialist. Not treated person can get into life threatening condition.

Loved Green/Parsons today, great dancing throughout, really had the hips moving and, yes, it was their first time performing this program, but thought it was much better than that score. Best Latin dancing I have seen today, plus their usual amazing technical skill and speed. Help me understand the lower score, what did I miss? Also loved the Canadians, as always, they skated great but didn't feel the Latin flavor as much, and H/B good as always and very entertaining. Thought those teams should have been top 3 and much closer in scores. Glad to see such a deep field though. Can't wait for free dance.

I have to say I disagree here - I don't think Gr/P's RD is doing anything for them. It's kind of flat choreography that feels pretty generic. I also don't think there was much speed there for them - I think it's the key thing that they need to work on as a team. The lower score comes from really low tech - none of the footwork was of a high tech. I don't know - I think they're better than this programme.

Couldn't disagree more, but that's what makes the world go round. Loved the choreography and found it more fresh and less generic than most of those scored above them. Footwork was higher level than most too, just not scored that way IMHO. Different strokes I guess. No worries. Hope they do better in FD.

Well, FB/S were on fire; demonstrating that they are back on track with a PB RD, such a gorgeous, mature, charismatic team!

H/B definitely seems to be channeling their inner Piper and Paul; they do say that's the sincerest form of flattery, LOL! My money is still on the uber exciting, ever-diverse, storytelling originals - Piper and Paul to come back swinging and swaying into battle fully podium-worthy this season. but we will have to wait till the GP kicks off to find out who has the best programs for the new quad. But back to Finlandia and the performance by H/B. Perhaps they were a bit slow, but they will work that out over the season. so it will get faster, Baker knows how to strut his comedic side. IAM will make sure they will be their best selves. esp., now that H/D has retired and moved on. The important takeaway is that both IAM teams have clearly beaten the overhyped and way O/S Green/Parsons who while talented are adjusting to a coaching change, etc., they are going to have to wait their turn like everyone else, this is a new quad with different politics in play, 1 well received FD that got them noticed together with strong US politics during the last quad, does not mean you don't have to pay your dues under the new one. This is the season where everyone re-sets and adjusts to a new dance reality and that reality is that both USA and Canada have a lot of great dance teams both the established kind with winning pedigrees and some re-setting kind that are eager to get back into play, as well as the hungry new young teams to pick and choose from going forward and dancing toward 2026. 1st hurdle is the reset season after all the retired, off-taking a break, and/or banned teams. 2nd hurdle is the North American worlds the following season, then comes the 3rd take chance-all bets are off-season, then back to pleasing the judges, politicking for Olympic glory season, then the celebratory cherry on top worlds.

Can't wait for the FD to see how it all shakes out!
