Meaning:Bear; Dove. Yona is a gender-neutral name with Native American and Hebrew origins. A gorgeous definition to behold in the Hebrew side of things, the name Yona means “dove.” Not only does it have an animal connection but the dove is often a symbol of peace.

Yoni/o/a was born in Israel. I bet that Yona is a nickname he may already know. Dove/Peace, may be a bit too much pressure for a figure skater? (and as you know, Ava has quite a few more years of junior eligibility... what if they split?)
