I was caught out too. I started my breakfast at the same time as I did yesterday, not realising that the skating was starting half an hour earlier. So, when I came in while my first slice of toast was cooking to open the pages, I found the stream was already on air, and showing a nice montage of picturesque scenery. And it was a mad rush to get the reminder posts for both here and Japan written.

I'll finish my breakfast during the interval.

Although the time difference here may mean that I can catch some of the later events which is exciting!

Yeah, I liked it too. But, then again, I do tend to like music from different cultures.

Wow! Varvara and Timur go into the lead of both FS and overall, but they only lead the FS by 0.10 points!

I hate this cover of one of my favourite songs, though. If you want "Don't Speak", it has to be No Doubt. This guy singing isn't a patch on Gwen Stefani.

Thankfully the rest of the programme made up for the music.

Kravchenko is performing better than at the start of the season, but the difference in skill is still noticeable.

There're not enough strong female partners in ID, but at the same not enough strong male partners in pairs.

Probably Alisa Ovsyankina/Alexander Shustitskiy?

UPD. They had flu right before the competition. The main reason for their not very good skate.

Totally agree. Alexandra's dress was beautiful.

Not too sure about Katya's dress now, though. It's a nice enough design. But, costumes that are near enough the same colour as the skater's skin just don't look right.

And I don't like the dialogue that kept coming and going throughout the programme.

No, on the whole, I didn't like that programme. Which is a shame, because they are good skaters.

But, they still take a big lead. By roughly 10 points in the FS, and by exactly 15 points overall.
