2014 Skate Canada Mens FS 11/01

Ha ha, the Russian emoting. I really like Menshov, and he can jump (and he was cheated by his fed), but he's not as well-rounded a skater as some in this competition. But what matters in the sport today is the ability to jump, not necessarily being fluid or having lovely lines and gorgeous musical interpretation skills (which let's face it most at this comp don't have in abundance).

*shakes head angrily*

I really enjoyed Carrierre, but no way in heck should he even be close to Max.

Why the heck not? I'd take Carrierre over Aaron any day. I can respect the technical content from Aaron but he is not fun to watch. Carrierre was no slouch technically, but he also had beautiful skating in between.

I swear it's so creepy Menshov looks like my linear math modeling teacher from my fall 2013 semester of college....

You are lucky.. what grade did you get? :P It will probably be my fav class, although a little distracting.

If Stephen and Jason skate well there's no way Max is beating them because they have the PCS and Jason just has 'it'.

Ok can someone who speak Russian please help me out. The announcers seem to say something that sounds like "Bahhallar" a lot. What does it mean? It is driving my better half and insane.

I don't know, but I'll ask my friend later. He's Russian-American :)

I agree...why not.

Those who are fans of Max love watching him. Yeah, you just need to get to know Max Aaron inside out, and you would root for him. Sure, he needs to improve his presentation, but he's really working at it. He's no slouch. I love Max Aaron.

That technical score box gives me so much anxiety. Wasn't perfect, but he keeps fighting and never gives up like some others.

Really not a fan of Menshov's music - so repetitive and screechy! Solid enough skate, but he's not a really exciting skater for me. Everything is fine, but no area of his skating is particularly outstanding (other than his longevity!).

That was before I became a huge fan of skating. And learned about more skaters.

Well my teacher was pretty good-looking. And on ratemyprofessor.com people said he was cute. Lol.

I got an A in the class. It was an easy math class lol.

Because 1, Carrierre should not have beaten Max in the SP to begin with, and 2, Max was just so superior to Carrierre today. Not a tenth superior, several points' worth.

Oh sorry, I forgot! Max's artistry is all WRONG, isn't it? You're not ALLOWED to skate with energy, you HAVE to skate with quiet grace. :sarcasm:

Oh, Max has a medal! Yay! But I am sad for Kostya.
