Btw, I noticed that Yuzuru didn't get edge calls on flip at both COC and NHK, not even a !. Does that mean he's taking off from the correct edge now? Because I thought that he took off from an unclear edge in COC and I really can't tell from the NHK video...

Woooow! When he lands that combination, it's so beautifully aligned with the music! So that's what it's supposed to look like! I can see why it might be a bit tricky with timing-- if it's a little off, it probably feels weird since it won't land on the downbeat.

Well, it'll be late at night (early in the morning) where I am when he goes on, but I'm definitely staying up to watch.

i thought he was gonna get edge call too at COC but judges have better camera angle i guess, btw when i was checking his score sheets last week to see how many time he got edge call over the years i noticed Patrick might be the 1st person to get +3 GOE at Sochi for his 4T3T, sorry ruin your happiness, i was upset when i 1st saw it

While I rarely post, I have read this board for many years. I am a fan of a great many skaters, but Yuzuru is so special that I feel compelled to wish him well at this Grand Prix Final. For me, I just love to watch him skate. Whether it is a competition, exhibition, or just practice, I am captivated by his talent regardless of scores or placements. But for him, he wants to win. Therefore, I am wishing for him great skates, great scores, and gold medals!

So today, I join the chorus of Yuzuru fans from all over the world to wish him great success at this competition and all others that he may enter.

This SP practice is so beautiful that I can't help replaying it so many times! So this is the beauty if he goes clean~ every choreography is so on point like that steps at 1:37 mark is in time with the two piano note also the combination perfectly in time with both notes~ ugh! Ganbatte Yuzuru! You can do it!

Unfortunately I won't be able to watch it live as Men's SP will be on at 4AM here
