don't know if it's been posted but Julia's new dress is evidently Chinese-style, in the decoration near the shoulder and the pattern in the back, which is the Chinese character for 'tiger'. She is still practising along to R+J music but I think she will switch it to something else sometime this season.

In addition to being the same age, same level of accomplishment and facing the same challenges, Elena's style indicates that she is a good complement to Yulia. If so, Yulia could benefit a lot from being around Elena. As of now competitions bring them together. It would be nice if they were practicing in the same group.

And maybe it's for the future Mulan. Mulan is next? Alba mentioned that Mulan wasn't received well by the fed. probably because she hadn't prepared her presentation convincingly (remember it was this year's program choice #2, put together in a big rush), so it should be approved under better circumstances. She had already begun to plan the presentation when it was rejected. Yulia is attracted to oriental culture, cities, and people, and she has done at least two oriental themes in the past.

Yes, she said that the program wasn't much of a program that time.
However, I don't know if it's a good idea to change the program again. Unless she is already working on it, which I doubt. Carolina, changed it last season of course but she didn't have the GPF and a competition like the russian nationals to face.

Ya know what....I was expecting some sort of terrible awful disaster skate. It had some really good moments in it. My heart goes out to her because she seems to have an all or nothing approach but she is really really growing artistically. This program has potential. I hope she can settle her jumps down because this skate is absolutely gorgeous and if she goes clean with this the potential is there.

Even with mistakes this is one of the best programs.

Don't worry too much, Yulia. Skating is not only about jumps. Everything else was wonderful, the movements, the piruets and the new dress is amazing. And it was a great leap forward artistically. The better days are coming soon, so don't worry too much and good luck in Russian champs, at least top 3 is enough and it's within reach.
