Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

His new boobs are bigger than mine. I have no problem with feminine costumes for him actually, because I think he pulls them off, he already has so many feminine traits that it works for me, it would be very strange to see him in a supposed "masculine" costume, i'm still having a hard time to digest the V-neck at his FS costume  My problem with boobskirt 1.0 was because it was asymmetric with an unflattering design, not that it was too feminine, but the blue one is very pretty for me, I really like it, with or without boobs. And He is slouchy, I don't think it's a matter of the costume.

Well we know he IS slouchy already, and this blue gala costume just adds more slouches on him for those overloaded piling up details crossing his chest/shoulder line. IMO vertical details work much better, like the one in NHK gala

The white costume he wore for Fantasy on Ice is perfect for this EX.

Just my personal preference...I like his costumes that are delicate and elegant, but not overdone. The one for his SP this season is one of my favorites. It perfectly blends in the music and the entire choreography, and its simplicity is the beauty.

I have no acknowledge about fashion and what makes the posture evident or hide it to be honest, you're probably right but still, for me he's always slouching. I don't like the NHK trophy one, too many ruffles at the back, the Fantasy on Ice is good .. I don't know, I'm so neutral for white costumes to be honest, they bore me to death, but I appreciate them when they compliment the music, otherwise I'm not enthusiastic about them. When it comes to Yuzuru I'm all in for femme outfits to some extent  I think my favourites would be Etude and that new blue one. I like the Chopin outfit, except the semi turtle neck, but i'm such a sucker for that Chopin SP that I think he could be wearing a white mumu that I would like it.

edit: I also really like POTO 1.0, this might by favourite, in a virtual tie with Etude.

That is from a book written by Yukari Nakano(a former Japanese skater herself). She interviewed several famous skaters in Japan, including Yuzuru. A Chinese forum translated Yuzuru's interview. He talked about lots of things, including the earthquake, his training, and love views. For any of those who can read Chinese, here is the link: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/2863661522.
Thanks for the link to the book. It is very interesting that Yuzu talked about his studies at Waseda. From the translation, he said English was a required subject, and he had to communicate with his professor on Skype in English, which was quite challenging. He would write down ahead of time what he was going to say on the assignments, and he would add some free talks as far as he could go.

I hope my rough translation is not off track too much.

Hm..on the topic of costumes and SP....wasn't Hanyu's Copin costume blue before? Now its back to purple? Lol, or is the fabric some kind of illusion fabric that changes color with different lighting?

I think it has a different colour here but maybe because of the lights. At every new competition I see a slightly different colour of this costume, I guess I need glasses

Hello, YesWay. I read your post several days ago. Thanks for an important information about Yuzuru Hanyu. Because I felt sad to read some people wrote about his attitude to followers of foreign countries in a critical mood. I understood the situation now.
Now I am hoping he will perform successful in national competition. Thanks again.

I am a native Chinese speaker. When we say "like" or " dislike" someone in such context, we mean "attracted to" or " not attracted to" . For example, my mom asks if i "like" my guy friend and i say i don't, meaning we are just friends ( no chemicles). I would think the Chinese translator translated Yuzu's words based on Chinese meaning, and then they were literally translated into English, which could sound offensive to non-Japanese.

Sorry, if this post is too late as I have not read the remaining pages yet.

I think you may be right. As far as I remember, he said "I don't like (so much) or prefer a foreign girl (as the date)" and I thought it was natural considering his very talkative nature, and his stubbornness

If the girl is brought up in the same culture and speaks the same language, it would be comfortable for him without doubt, and he clearly said he prefers a girl whom he wants to protect. It may be easier to find this type of girls among Japanese. Sorry in advance, if you take this stereotype viewing.

This is just a matter of preference, not racism.

omg clueless shoma  i think yuzu was 14 that time or just turned 15, 2nd junior national title

yeah it was 2009 junior championship, so Yuzu was probably 14 and shoma 11, both just shy of their birthday
